the match against OOTD is priceless, i got so many valueble tips, cuz i always struggle to HRE FC, then they spam maa+landskneckts. hopefully we can get Chinese asap :)

I am the OOTD (IGN Hips130) in the game against Beasty, and I was right there listening to his review after the loss. His thinking during the game is simply priceless, and I started the game because of his videos. I used to be a Starcraft player for 10 years, just like him. Therefore I know exactly how hard it's been to transition from one game to another so fast. Big respect and hopefully one day I am no more "low league" lol.

Not sure why my reply to the OOTD reply at the top didn't show properly. But I am the one against Beasty in the OOTD. I am from China so that's why he felt laggy during the game(and so did I). The pressure was tremendous and I literally felt his scouting everywhere. I am totally inspired and amazed by his active thinking during the game. I am actually looking forward to an OOTD pro-gaming guide, even if it's kinda unlikely. Keep up the amazing contents please! You mean a lot to the community.

I had a english vs french match up very recently, and got very early pushed by french. I tried going barracks first to make some spearmen to counter his cav, but still lose. What should have I done in that case?

Tower up the gold vills, make a barracks, spam spears.

@@chacha-ro6yo There is no definitive answer to that question. Both civs have around a 50% win rate at all levels. Any civ can beat any other civ. Depends on the player, scouting, macro, micro etc. Every English unit and French unit has a counter.

9:00 Beasty has 2tc, age 2, nice eco and enemy is also age 2. When I play and have 2 TC, the enemy is age 3, with has 20 maa army and eco. WTF?

2 on stone and 1 on gold to start, get Daimyo, build stable, bannerman, early pressure. Bannerman kills vills with 3 hits or only 2 with a horseman. Bannerman comes with reflective armor negating the spearman's first hit. With a couple of horsemen (boosted 15% by the bannerman) try to gain map control. From there it depends on what happens but if you do pin your opponent in base it's fairly easy to FC.

Cool video and all but the reason what you do works is because you’re so good at the game 😂 this whole to play idea is fun but u have to have the APM to make these things work. Such as going 2tc as French, very hard to stop something like an English all in while doing this at lower levels below conq 2. I think there are easier play styles for people with less APM that could still work at fairly high levels

@@johnnypenso9574 you can use more basic play style and still get top 100. It takes time and effort to become a pro and experience for yourself. You need game sense, watching what beasty is doing and mimicking it will never be as good as building your own game knowledge by actually playing. All I’m saying is trying to play like this if you don’t have the supreme game and civ knowledge won’t even get you that far

@@thestungun1 of course, just trying to give a warning to people who just aren’t that good and will try to do what beasty does. It’s better to come at it from a more basic/effective approach, get good at that, and then branch out to trying to be more complicated. 1 tc all in French is enough to get you high rated

@@KLATUU. Quite literally he told at the start of this series that the point of these guides were to mostly explain his decision making and why he does what you see on screen, which he normally doesnt talk about while playing. Its not meant to be copied 1 to 1 gameplay wise.
