I remember that when I tried my hand at building Goku, it was some kind of melee wizard build multiclassed with monk. I treated most of the beam spells as being the Kamehameha technique and its variants. I then treated Tenser's Transformation as a part of what would make Super Saiyan.

As a very, very big DB fan, this build is a very clever way to do Goku in DnD. Goku, in reality, would be a level 100 PC whose DM has given up on balance a long time ago. I like how you manage to get after image, super saiyan, flying, the kamehameha, the spirit bomb and even Ultra Instinct in the build. Good work!

Also, I’d say 15 sorcerer 5 monk here, you get ki points extra attack and a d6, increased movement speed and deflect missiles. But not just that tashas cauldron gives us a couple more options like ki point based healing and dedicated weapons for a power pole and a higher health die. You can take sun soul for the range 30 ft attack, or the open hand for better flurry of blows. I think even the lv 9 spell foresight isn’t quite as useful as all this.

I like the build. Strength Monk / Barbarian was what you did for Vegeta, but that’s what I did for one session where I played a Goku like character. I just reflavored the Rage as fighting lust lol. Another good one - that you mentioned - would be Fighter / Sorcerer. That action surge and unarmed fighting would fit Goku’s protagonist-y ways. Again, great vid!

Bonus tip! because of the low monk level, your punches would definitely benefit from taking the fighter initiate feat and taking unarmed fighting style! that way your punches will deal 1d8 damage instead of 1d4(which would have made them quite useless at levels beyond 5

During one session our sorcerer did some sort of flying spell (not fly, but I can't remember the specific spell) to glide over our enemies and then did Lightning Bolt on them while in the air. That definitely felt like a Goku thing.

Your build for Goku, @Tulok the Barbrarian, actually inspired me try a build of my own for Broly (the Super version of Broly). I’m curious what you and your other viewers think: Starting Stats (Point Buy): STR 13/DEX 12/CON 15/INT 8/WIS 8/CHA 15 Race: Scourge Aasimar +2 CHA/+1 CON (STR 13/DEX 12/CON 16/INT 8/WIS 8/CHA 17) Outlander Background for Survival and Animal Handling Proficiencies (having to survive on supposedly the most inhospitable planet in the universe and taming your big green alien dog dragon friend) So, I went with a similar build to how you built Goku, but instead of 1 Monk/19 Divine Soul Sorcerer, I went with 1 Barbarian/19 Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer. Broly is basically the embodiment of what a Barbarian should be, but like you said with Goku and Monk, you can’t get as much of the stuff Broly needs from Barbarian beyond the strength. I mainly went into it for the Athletics and Intimidation Proficiencies, STR and CON saving throws, and Unarmored Defense plus the early level HP boost. I figured Draconic Bloodline works as a stand in for Broly’s Wrath State harnessing the power of the Great Ape in his human form. Since we’re primarily a spell caster, Rage from Barbarian won’t be used, but I figure you can reflavor a lot of the transformations from Sorcerer and Aasimar as well as the spell stuff for Broly’s transformations. Then as far as my ASIs/Feats, I did 4th +1 CHA/+1 STR, 8th +2 CON, 12th +2 CHA, 16th +2 CON, and 19th Tough Feat (STR 14/DEX 12/CON 20/INT 8/WIS 8/CHA 20) I then went with just as many powerful damage dealing spells as I could with Meteor Swarm for his 9th Level Spell for that world destroying power. I wound up with a Sorcerer who has a 16 AC and (using the auto-generated HP) HP of 247 with that one level dip into Barbarian, a maxed out CON modifier, the Tough Feat, and Draconic Resilience. It doesn’t have quite the same level of physical strength that Broly should have, but I think overall, it goes well with the spirit of Broly, that sort of reckless berserker blaster caster that could just as likely destroy himself as the universe
