This is a beautiful piece of music. We'll go through it section by section, chord by chord - Let's get our right hands in shape with this one - contrasting sections with different strumming patterns. A great strumming exercise. We do a slow speed playalong and then a full speed playalong toward the end. And....let's throw a little lead guitar in at the very end as well. This is a fun one!

I was just going to go back and refresh my memory for this great song and here it is waiting for me. I’m closing in on 5 years since I started learning from you and others. Thanks for all the help along the way. I wish I’d started decades ago. My 58 year old construction fingers just don’t stretch like they used to. 😊

Thanks for adding another song to my list of songs I can play along with. I enjoy your style of instruction. I learned about strumming from this one. Shane is the real deal if you want to learn to play guitar. His lessons have literally transformed my guitar playing after years of being stuck with players block. I don't just say this lightly. But if you're struggling with your learning of guitar Shane Simpson is the BEST in the business. Many thanks to you sir for helping me get out of my own way and unlocking this new found freedom of the fret board I never thought would ever be mine to discover. I'm finally moving forward again after years of stagnation, your teaching methods have given me hope and inspiration.

It’s great how this song allows us to add to our skills repertoire, in this case the various strums, while playing a truly beautiful song. Thanks again Shane. BTW , as a Canadian I’m loving the poppy and loving the winter time “hockey hair”, looking good my friend. 😀

Great content and teaching always! I bought a BeatBuddy and I know the basic functionality of the buttons etc but I would like some help with the fills, intros, transitions in terms of "arranging" a song. I am an older person who may not be as tech savy younger folks who seem to know intuitively how to do these things. Where to put the fills and how to time them, same with the transitions. Take a well known song that you have already taught like Brown Eyed Girl, or Margaritaville for example and walk through the building the drum track. Or alternatively if you know where someone else has done this on the internet it would help me ramp up the sophistication of my use of the the tool. Cheers and thanks for all you do.

Shane, your giving away all the secrets of comping. 😀 You gave great advice for approaching a Song and making it your own. Create a unique style that can be recognized. I'd love to see how you create a interesting part for a piano song. Other than just pounding out the chords. Maybe something by Ronnie Milsap? Pure Love or It was Almost Like a Song would be examples.

Always liked this tune and another guitar player want me to learn it so I am. you have helped me a lot on the timing. Case in point Peaceful Easy Feeling. I always knew sometnimg was wrong. I think I was trying to play the intro timing(up and down strokes) On the verses and it's different enough to be a groove breaker. Also Can't You See and Sister Golden Hair videos very helpful. Hey Paul... in case you haven't checked further, the BB has both L/R 1/4" inputs (from your guitar say or a stereo source) and it's got a standard 1/8" headphone out. You don't actually NEED an amp. It's a very portable practice solution aside from requiring the AC adaptor as it does not take batteries.

The way Rick Beato explained it, the Eagles, and especially Don Henley were the absolute worst with regards to copyright stringency. I wouldn't even bother spreading their music. Let them become irrelevant. To try to teach their music while they do a disservice to their own legacy for greed. It's not like they're starving artists.
