Seem a Neil Young concert think it was a BBC recording from 1971 and he says he bought a ranch and he has a caretaker old man living there which is who “Old Man” is.

I had that concert audio years ago. Think it was Massey Hall. Lots of beautiful songs that night all solo. Dropped his pick at some point

I used to have that same guitar...traded it for my first PA. Never particularly cared for the tone....beautiful guitar though. I think was a proto-type for future versions....the big bellies were pretty rare I think. Shoulda held on to it...oh well!

It was a late friends guitar. Always loved it and am glad I ended up with it. Only bad thing now is there’s no service available anymore and it needs some. Most shops hate or don’t know how to work on ovations and I don’t want to wait 6 months if I ship it to Connecticut.
