Hi Kevin, thank you very much. Yes m happy to hear you found the videos helpful. Learning an instrument is harder as we get older, but you can do it. You’ll find it’s an uphill battle for the first few months especially; your hands aren’t going to do what you want them to. But don’t give up! Keep going and eventually it will all click and come together! I’m happy to help with questions along the way!

Nice! Wish I had stumbled onto your channel 2 years ago when I first attempted this song. Kind of have it down pretty good after a while trying to “finger” it out. Only real difference to your lesson is my preference of E7 to Emaj. I think it adds character to the unresolved chord shapes (start on Am and finish on E or E7). Lovely clear lesson, though.

If giving beginners lessons please give lessons without extra equipment such as the guitar capo, beginners don't start with capo's
@Studio33guitar2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The reason I showed it with a capo is because without it you would need to use barre chords which are even less beginner friendly. If you don’t have a capo, you can still play these chord shapes and add the capo later. I also provided a link in the description where you can get one quick on Amazon. Thanks for watching!

@Studio33guitar2 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for watching. I don’t know the answer to that off hand, but it is very common for artists to play in lower keys when performing live. Also when there is more than one guitar playing, often one will use a capo and play different voicings of the chords. Hope this helps

Hotel has an incredibly recognizable and seductive chord progression, but playing it so that it sounds like the recording requires learning a myriad of intricate guitar fills, arpeggios, strumming nuances and lead guitar chops. Campfire doesn't cut it here.
