I have learned the fingerpicking for this song and it took me over a month and I realized I couldn’t do the fingerpicking and sing at the same time so now after seeing this video, I have decided to strum the chords instead of picking.

What a great lesson! It passes the sixty something beginners test. A much loved song from my youth, and now, I can, in my fashion, play along to it. The feathering of the strums really makes a difference. As we say over on this side of the Atlantic, Nice One Marty.

This is a much-simplified version of the actual song. Especially, check out how Gordon plays the F chord- it’s much more interesting than the straight F here.. And don’t forget the capo on 2nd fret to give it the right key, where it sounds so much more correct!
@LinN-ji1jy2 жыл бұрын
Capo the second fret dude. Gordie does.

@aeroplod4 жыл бұрын
@@jimcrossland3575 Hey Jim It's never wrong. It depends on the singers vocal register. The picking is neither right nor wrong either... This is all about getting folks to play and sing. We should encourage that. The worst thing is to vehemently stick to the original then make a mess of the high notes if your voice can't get there. Did you know that Harrison dropped from A to G as he matured on 'Here Comes the Sun' ? If he can do it ......!
