There are a lot of great guitar players on utube and some pretty good teachers as well and I've learned from all of them but Shane I gotta tell ya that all of those little tips and insights you give and the encouraging words about making mistakes being o.k. and best of all the real time play along sections that put together all the pieces put you at the top of the list. Always a great place to learn a new song. Thank you for what you do here!

Hi Shane. Firstly,welcome back ‘Master’, you have been sorely missed my Friend. Pleased to hear/see that you have recovered from your surgical procedure. Secondly, this is unbelievable, ‘In to the Great Wide Open’ is my favourite TP track ( closely followed by ‘You and I will meet again”) was a request that I made some time ago. Yesterday, I sent you an email hoping to find you well and because I ,like many,many others have missed not having you with us! Then,Hey Presto, as they say the rest is History. Hi Shane glad to see your back this one is pretty easy so far got a bit off track timing the punches, I was comparing your chords to a website as you know everyone has there own ways of doing songs but I find that like this song in particular, the site I am looking at had some added chords that were not necessary, this is why I like coming to your channel simple and direct no added BS. Thanks again love your videos

For that F chord, if you listen closely to the recording, they actually play an F (add9) chord, adding the ‘G’ note on the third fret of the high ‘E’ string. It’s easy to play, just play a regular F chord and put your pinky on that third fret of the E string. Your pinky’s already there if you play the ‘G’ chord like he tells you to.
@timobloozer9 ай бұрын
Also, for the ‘G’ to ‘C’ part, when you play the ‘C’ chord, keep your pinky where it is. That makes it easier to quickly transition between the two chords. It also just sounds nice!

When you play that F-chord you need to leave your pinky on the 3rd fret of the 1st string. Slow down the recording and listen... you can clearly hear the G note ringing out. Other than that, pretty good lesson
@GuitarAtWork2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dirk - a couple of guitars in there for sure and one is keeping pinky on and the other isn't. You can freely go from one to the other for sure. Hope you're having fun. Cheers, Shane
