In addition to what you have shown, some people will need also a locale emulator Without the locale emulator the game would start with the text completely broken (some dots and random symbols), even if outside of the game the computer would recognize the right characters normaly. Running it with the locale emulator fixes it.

honestly it's ashame that you need to entirely change language settings just to run older rpg maker games. it's the thing thats frankly made me not be bothered to run any of them.

On the Yume 2kki wiki, it says that you can access nocliping and debug mode if you "run the game in RPG Maker". I have RPG Maker 2000, but I have no clue how I'd run Yume 2kki inside of it. Any suggestions?
