Neil Geraldo, Pat B’s husband, played on the original track.

True. Neil played bass and lead on the recording. Rick was an accomplished guitar player prior to this, a popular band in Australia called "Zoot"

Although the chord progressions of this song are quite simple all the tricks involved make it challenging and interesting. Thanks for the lesson, Marty!

It's not right but it works I guess. A little heavier that way anyway. Check out the isolated guitar track video on here though if you want to learn it right.

Remember turning up the radio whenever this song came on back in 81. I still do today, when music was real and creative.

You make a great point about playing to the audience. I live in S. America and people don't know most of what I'm learning/practicing - but how much CCR or AC/DC can one man tolerate?! This song surely fits for many events. Certainly not expected on this channel, but very welcomed. Thanks!

As a three man band, back in the day, there were a lot of songs that I would have to improvise the keyboard part on the guitar. Jump was one of them, but pulled it off convincingly.

Very cool this was a solid song. Need to see how Pat benatar's husband spider had a little hand in it. Cadillac I've done everything for you Sammy Hagar that Rick pretty much did really well. I'm like you I think a lot of that 80 stuff pop rock too I really come to appreciate even though the two key members passed away the outfield again.

True but the way Marty played it is easier. I've played this solo many times in covers and it's just easier not to tap the note.

Did you know that Neil Gerald Gerardo? Actually wrote the music for that song. Jessie's girl he played all the guitar parts on that whole album And he produced it Springfield. It was not much of a guitar player. New Gerardo. It's a very underrated guitar Player, he is played on. So many albums is not funny and produce them
@theblacksquirrel.9 ай бұрын
Sorry, but that's not actually correct. Neil played lead and bass only. Rick was the sole song writer, Keith Olsen was the producer. Rick was quite an accomplished guitar player, check out his previous band "Zoot" and their cover of Elenor Rigby.

Great song, but you’re missing a beat on the last D chord. That chord is played like all the chords before it. DD-AA-BB-GG-AA-D(D)

You didn't go over the solo you just tried to give a scale lesson. Teach the solo?
@Ranch5150SkinWalker9 ай бұрын
Yeh, the solo to me is one you can improvise over live (for me anyways). I showed the start and a couple signature bends. I just didn't feel that the solo is iconic enough for note for note replication. But that's just my opinion... I figured it may be more beneficial to show how to fish vs just serve the food in this case.
