I have been providing notes since 2008 actually. My first video with notes was Tere Liye which I deleted and have redone it again last year. I used to look for notes my self back then but hardly found any. So I thought why not I start providing notes so it helps others. U mean western vs Carnatic? Both are unique and have their own advantages. But I feel if I learn Carnatic, u can play any kind of music. But western has more techniques mainly on bowing.

Yes you can get many good ones in India. If possible, head to a music instruments store and they should be able to help u. Also, instruments are like wine, the older and most used, the better they sound because the strings and the instrument is gets settled. Where as a new violin might not be as pleasing. The more you practice, the more it gets in tune.
