Yes, it is 😂. Still using it to listen to new songs without leaving the keyboards.

Hi Jurgen...I am a reasonably good pianist about to do grade 7...I'm fascinated to know how you play keyboards in a band....i haven't a clue...so it's all chords and inversions....I always play 2 bass notes an octave apart I guess in reality you would play one bass note then?

Thanx you! Bandplaying means a lot of Chords, inversions and Arpeggios. If you have a bassplayer, 2 Bass notes are way too much, even one note should be Played high enough Not to get into the bass‘ frequencies. Or you use an Equalizer and Turn down deep frequencies.

Hi, I am tasked with playing keys for a classic rock cover band.. I only have a rudimentary ability and need a teacher that understands that I don't need to play etudes, but chords. Do you do private lessons?

Hi Jonas, yes we can do lessons (e.g. via Zoom). Please use my Email or my website (menu "TEACHING") to contact me. You find both at "Channel Info". Cheers Jürgen

Is there any rule of thumb for which is the lowest note a keyboardist in a band is still allowed to play without interfearing with the bass player's notes? Thank you.

depends on the frequencies. If you need to play deeper notes on the keyboard (for a special groove e.g.), you can lower (Equalizer) the deep frequencies on the keyboard. The rule is: Listen to your playing and the playing of the bass player. Every venue sounds different.....
