Good game guys, that was very entertaining. I'm excited to get into Keyforge. I like the concept of just buying a few packs and you are ready to play. It's nice not having to keep up with the meta, or having to think too much on deck building. I can just focus on learning my deck and have fun learning the different play styles of the houses.
@zerokura

Only thing your needing when playing with friends are tokens to represent damage,amber,stun and keys. But ya i loving the idea of two people just have to buy a pack than face each other and learn their decks on the fly. Oh their also those chains to even stronger decks.

i'm the opposite of you, i HATE when 2 weeks after a set releases every single goramnd money clad bastard is playing the new hot deck card by card, and those who don't have the money for it, are just playing the new efficient budget aggro deck card by card as well, it makes everything super stale, opposedly to games like dominion or star realms where every game feels like a new game, and unpopular opinion here, growing on card games has made me DESPISE the goddamn 3 decks meta every card game seems to devolve into, i think magic's land cards into the deck is a semi-genius solution to it, by making sure that sometimes some parts of your deck are just buried below a land flood means that there are some cards that you don't even get to see in some games, making the game a little more varied.

I'm so happy they have you draw back to your hand size at the end of the turn. My first card game is destiny where you draw back up to five and I thought I would give magic a try. Its such a bummer youll have 40 really cool cards you like but youll only play like 15 per game since you only draw 1 card per turn

24:54 43:14 Empty circles which should have Shadows and Brobnar logos. Tip for Taunt: Rulebook recommends pushing the taunting creature slightly forward in the Battleline. Makes it easy to recognize by both players. 45:30 Raiding Knight deals 4 damage to Firespitter, who has 1 Armor, so it should only take 3 damage.

You guys have got me super excited for Keyforge! It's such a cool idea! I play alot of games, and so I'm excited to get into a new card game that doesnt rely on deckbuilding as much! It sounds so nice to just be able to grab a deck, and get to playing! Rather than always sleeving/unsleeving decks and making edits to my decks and also keeping my cards not in decks organized at the same time! My netrunner collection is in desperate need for organization! Anyways, while some of that I really enjoy, deckbuilding itself especially, it sounds super relaxed having a new game in this format! I preordered the core set cause you guys convinced me!

Great card game, best game in this style I've played in quite some time. Used to love CCGs, but this is far more suited to people with busy lives and no time to sink into a CCG style game. Depth of gameplay and decision making is fairly deep. It does remind me of those early days of MTG when you just had a stack of card and did your best with it, before netdecking, singles vendors and all that.

LOL First game ever finale of Professor J.Chronocode went down like a baller: -Opponent had 4 creatures in play. 1 Key, 3 Amber -Prof. has SoulSnatcher(Each time a creature is destroyed owner gains 1 amber), 3 creatures in play. 2 Key, 4 Amber -Prof. chooses Dis, proceeds to play: Lifeward(Omni, Sacrafice,opponent can't play creatures next turn.) Gateway to Dis(Destroy all creatures. Gain 3 chains.) Opponent gains 4 amber(total 7), Prof gains 3(total 7). Drumble(Elusive, Play:Capture opponents amber if 7 or more) Prof gains 7amber(total 14) -Sacrifices Lifeward. Prof says Check,ends turn. Opponent in state of shock does nothing. WIN. Conclusion: Y'all were right about all the cards being good because I had that Drumble in my hand from turn 1 thinking the whole game that I should just play it but I waited, OMG I waited and reaped the rewards:P

It's a cool combo, but one extra amber per Shadow's turn is not anything to write home about, and he gained that amber anyway on a lot of the turns simply by killing stuff... Had it gone out of control (but I have trouble seeing it), the opponent could have archived Bad Penny quite easily. But as it was, Bad Penny was more of a liability than an asset for the Shadow player. The worst point was when it acted as a target for the Big Martian Stunner to splash stun the Asp. Had it not been there, that move would have been impossible without killing the Stunner. I guess that against an enemy that can spare the attacks, you're sometimes better off simply discarding Bad Penny to avoid the endless hand clog.

"When a creature leaves play, any Æmber on that creature is gained by the opponent." This is why when you capture an enemy's Æmber it usually goes back to them when your creature is destroyed, so by having an enemy capture its own Æmber is a good trick to steal it.

So aggro is control, control is aggressive, value is...value? I love it though!

At the 45:40 mark, should Firespitter have taken only three damage due to his one armor cancelling one of the four incoming damage?

Also, he should of gotten 3 Aembers, one for each character he placed. They had the Aember symbol. MEaning that you get one when played.

I'm pretty sure that is just Brobnar's symbol. Creatures typically don't have aember on play.

Have you reviewed this game? How does it compare to other lcg from ffg?

Game looks cool. But, bit worries that it will always be stronger to keep playing the same house like Stephen did. Even once you have to switch to another type you’ll have lots of cards to play because you’ll effectively have only two types left in your deck. Or maybe that was just a lucky situation for Stephen, I dunno, thoughts?

He was pretty fortunate in this one, and actually lost the next game with the same decks!

Is there really any difference between attacking the other player and building keys? How I see it its just a matter of semantics, or feel if you will. The major difference in rules is the inability to hinder the opponent from doing it (no blocking as in MTG when the other person reaps).

Really exciting innovative design and concept. I feel it will breakthrough. How far it will go i think will depend on how competitive play is designed.

@@teamcovenant so it looks like that sealed will be the main format for this game. I heard from a friend before that Garfield jntended for mtg to be played in that format mainly. I feel the preconstructed and or lack of deck building aspect will have an impact to the game's future but will still be very suxcessful if not massively successful.

Around 27:10 he explains “capture” but is it correct? I thought the Aember goes back to the owner after the creature dies

Whats to stop you from making a deck from other decks you buy?
@NiceOneChameleon
@NiceOneChameleon 5 жыл бұрын
logan furey each deck has a name/identifier that comes with a specific list of cards, printed on a card in the deck. I mean there’s nothing physically stopping you, just the game rules in the rule book
