Little thing, Kylo wasn't healing himself when he hit the wound. He was making the pain stronger because dark side users draw from emotions like anger and pain. The more you know. Now all we need is a stat that lets you intentionally take extra 2 damage to a wound you already have in turn for advantage on your next hit. Maximum edge achieved.

I mean that kind of sounds like some blood Hunter type stuff. Just take profane soul for an extra spell slot and you can deal more damage with your weapon which can be flavored as fire damage seeing his lightsaber is unstable. You also have the use of blood maledict Witch is very fitting for a dark-side user

I can cover that one, I think. The guilds in Guild Master's Guide to Ravnica, allow you to use their specialized spell list regardless of which spellcaster class you are. Once you have access to the level of spell noted, you have access to that spell. The Azorius Guild, the legal system of the plane, have Hold Person on their second level spell options. Spin the First Order for the law and order side of things, if your GM pushes the issue, and you have it.

Played this tonight in a one shot. Let me say, this is really fun. I was a 15th level character so, paladin 12 and barbarian 3. I crit a boss tonight and dumped like 60+ damage into it for the “how do you want to do this” this is an extremely satisfying build. And of course everyone had a good time due to my Adam driver impersonation as well. Very fun good job Tulok!

I love this vid. I think you actually got the feel of Klyo quiet well. I actually have the urge to play this type of character now lol thanks! Although I would change one thing. The levels of Barbarian I would make the same levels of Divine Soul Sorcerer. His Paladin powers are quite nice and fluffy. Handling a lot of what you see him do in the movies. Sorcerer however, adds in Mage Hand, for summoning lightsabers and moving small objects, like we see other Jedi do and he was trained as a Jedi. It also gives him Mage Armor, which when stacked with Shield of Faith shores up his AC to 15+Dex. I don't meta game this is more for the fluff then anything. Kylo is a tank so he should have the AC of one. On that same note it would also give you access to Shield, further increasing your AC. TANK like a Boss! Sorcerer is also a Charisma based casting class, so you don't have to worry about spreading your stats to thin. And given that his Grandfather was fathered by the Force he is of a divine blood line. And in my humble opinion alot of his rage, beat the crap out of the poor room, moments are just mostly Role Playing. But again that's just me. I still love what you got here, and it's inspired a few of my own characters. Keep up the good work!

This gives me ideas for characters I could make through the Kylo Ren build that I KNOW my friends would love. I love role-playing really interesting characters in DND. Fun fact: I'm in a star wars style DND campaign, where we use the 3rd variant Jedi Homebrew class. My DM's idea for this campaign was to retcon the sequel trilogy to write his own version of it. It's SO FUN!!!!

Guessing before I watch. Again Varient human, what ya gonna do? Only other one I can see working is possibly Kalashtar. Background would be something along the lines of pilgrim but someone who left their order (Luke thinking of killing him). I'm still of the belief that Hexblade warlock is the absolute best class for sith, getting you many of the needed abilities and flavor. Honestly Kylo might even work as a pure warlock, what with invocations to help with many of the force powers. Other candidates for multiclassing I can think of would be Enchantment Wizard, Kylo is really strong at long distance communication, ripping out thoughts, and generally a schemer. Past that, maaaaybe a few levels in fighter, but only to grab some stuff that would let him drop an invocation for a different one, like extra attack. Oh and paladin is hood for force users too.

Hexblade pact of the blade is the most lore appropriate. The Knights of Ren are a Mad Max esque cult centered around "The Ren," their name for Kylo's lightsaber which gave the original leader dark side visions, leading to him killing his way across the outer rim recruiting force users by, well, force. Kylo became the leader of the Knights by killing the leader before him, thus becoming the Ren's new wielder. Edit: Nevermind, I like your build.

@xXNACXNACXx It is pretty close, especially the roleplaying aspect; shunned by commoners, etc. to be a witcher though till need to be able to cast low level spells; igni (burning hands & prestidigitation (to light and extinguish small flames with a click of your fingers)), Quen (Shield), Yrdi (protection from good and evil), Axii (charm person and suggestion), and Aard (not sure what cantrip or 1st level spell would be good here, basically forces everyone in your front arc back). Also need a detect magic spell to symbolise the wold amulet.

Strictly speaking, Aasimar wouldn't be non-canon. Aasimar are still technically human, just with a "drop of Celestial blood" that connects them directly with a Celestial being that gives them advice. Kylo Ren's grandfather was induced by the Force, and the Force does [try to] guide him. Call that celestial blood your "midi-chlorians" and your guardian angel "the Will of the Force" and you're in business.

here is my suggestion: tohru from maid dragon would probably make for a great sorcerer with draconic ancestry only issue i see is to pick the colour, while tohru herself appears green and has poisonous flesh, her breath is fire and her father (as in ancestor) is red.

OK, I'm a little fuzzy on the math. Ignoring the higher levels where he's talking about +23-26 (because I was completely lost at that point) I'm more trying to figure out the times he said +17 damage for each hit. At that point, Str was capped (+5) and he got to use Cha (+2-3 at that point). Where's the rest of this coming from? It's not the divine smite, that was mentioned separately.
