Excellent tutorial, and I actually picked up a few tips from this that I did not know about, such as when your choosing your island at the start, I didn't realize that you could change your starting position on the island by changing the last digit of the seed number. When I start a new game I always start with placing, and pausing construction of my mines, so I know for sure I'm not going to build on them, and doing this will also allow me to see in what direction I want to grow my village. Do you play the game using mods? I have recently starting playing the game again, and was absolutely blown away by the number of high quality mods that are now available, and one of the main modders for this game is eien no shikaku. He has put together a recommended mods list of all of his mods, and mods from others, such as Megadori, and Sir Foxy. I have installed most of them, and I can tell you they work really well and change the game in so many ways. Would love to see you play a game using mods.

Hi Shaun, I haven't played many mods but it's great there are so many for this game. There was one I tried that increased the amount of raiders, but it became too much to handle with all the fires that sprang up. Thanks for the other mod suggestions.

@@magesalmanac6424 I'm currently not using any of the mods that increase raiders, but there are a couple of mods I have installed that do things like increase raiders, but they also add hitpoints to them, and to the animals, making them much more dangerous, but thankfully this is an optional thing, and I have it all turned off. The game is brutal enough as it is.

Oh my gosh you're FANTASTIC! I bought this game (and a few others😋), for myself as a Christmas gift this year (2022), and have been too intimidated to even begin the tutorial😱...you m'lady, have given me confidence! Funny how you instructed young people to ask their parents about the way children are born... (Lmao)!!! I have questions though: 1. You mentioned about the upgrades when children are in the home? My understanding isn't good on that one. 2. Fields timing (I should know this at my age)... 3. where & when do I place the pyre?, away from town or...? Clearly, I'll have to refer back to this video. I think it’s because people’s game would slow down if they made a huge village. But they should have left the option available for high quality graphics.
