You don"'t understand what's going on in this song: there is a chromatically descending bass line C - G/B - Gm/Bb - F/A - Fm/Ab - C/G then the final line D9/F# - D9/G - C

Creo que en la primera rueda al final del verso no es Re menor sino Re 7 con la primera cuerda al aire... I think on the first wheel at the end of the verse it's not D minor but D7 with open first string...
@russellbyrd
@russellbyrd Жыл бұрын
Hello! You are doing this nicely but it's missing some chords. You are teaching a minor chord in the verse instead of a 9 and like all other places I have looked so far also one chord in the bridge. If someone knows that chord I would love to know it! You say E7 but that's NOT what is played on Dylan's original. At the end of the bridge there should also be an F/G instead of a G. In general, online there are so many chords that are wrong. I wonder why people put them out at all when you can hear they are not right. One chord that's almost always missed is the dim chord. And once someone put out a faulty chord pattern, everyone else copies it. Well, in this case there are four chords that should be changed. The one in the bridge I will keep looking for! Thanks for the effort anyway!

They look like the chords that the guitarist of D. Bowie uses. Could you do the harmonic embellishments that hi guitarist does? ( KZbin ).Thanks!

the 2 chord in the verse is major, so D7 not Dm. D7/F# really, 'cause it keeps the bass coming down into the F.

Nice technique! I had already learned this song from the Bob Dylan Time out of mind book published by special rider music. started out just strumming the whole thing and played around with some fingerpicking, then went online to see how other people are playing it. I just have one question, and I don't mean to be rude, I am just ignorant. Where did you get your chords? The chords published are 1 bar of C, G/B (with both e strings mute), Gm/Bb (same), F, then half a bar of D7, G11 (both E strings third fret, muted A, open D, second fret on G, first fret on B) and a full bar of C. The "bridge" is written as a full bar of F, C, half a bar of E+, F, and full bar of C, F, C, Dm7, and G.

Great lesson here Shane! BUT...instead of incorrectly calling out THE NAME of the CHORD being played, howsabout (wherever the Capo is placed) you call out THE SHAPE of the chord? For instance "The SHAPE of a C chord with the pinkie on the high E string", or "THE SHAPE of an F chord", etc.
