Yes, a ban system. That alone makes this game better than Overwatch. A competitive game needs a ban system to allow it to respond rapidly to extremely unhealthy characters or play patterns. Patching alone is too slow to address issues due to how fast metas evolve and change.

As long as bans stay in higher tiers or something. I don't want to miss out on playing my favorite character in every game because people want to ban them.

Hard disagree. Bans are a bandaid solution to a poorly balanced game, you should NEVER be prevented from playing the hero you enjoy just beacuse the devs suck at their job.
