I'm a solo queuer and crypto is my favorite legend to play since S20. He's a recon support legend. If my teammates pull their usual bs I can just sit back & use my drone to get their banners & plug them in easily. If my teammates leave I still have recon abilities & they help me alot in 1v3s.

small tip: when going a self EMP, try to take some damage then pop a battery while the ult is going off to instantly get that 50 shield back (but be careful of ur surroundings tho)

Another advice for Crypto. You can also charge up the Sentinal or use ultimate accelerant while Q’ing to your drone.

Think the Drone needs a lil health buff. Nothing crazy, but the amount of times it gets destroyed as im mid emp (while moving it around as much as possible trying to avoid shots) is crazy.

Work on better drone placement and knowing when to recall your drone. If you scan a team don’t leave the drone up for it to get destroyed. Just call it back or move it out of the way so that it doesn’t get beamed.

Ah, Crypto, a legend who was overshadowed by Seer and Bloodhound. I knew he had the potential to be better than them because he is a lot more versatile than the both of them. All he needed were some buffs to his kit, and his upgrades really helped his weaknesses. It's no wonder his getting a lot of use in ALGS

@@-_-4936 i chose him specifically because he was hard for me and i saw him different from other legends, so i knew it will be my main at that time (im playing since season 0 with break from season 4 to season 13), when i started understanding basics of how to play crypto, i fell in love with him how fun your gameplay can be when you master it, now i'm at 11k kills with crypto, it was a fate

Is it from the drone or the players position. Like if you fly away with the drone and see the banners for nearby squads, it it showing proximity to drone or the legend himself?

You could maybe look into Catalyst. She'll give you the control over space that you may need in the early stages of your learning. Those extra seconds to pop a battery or Med Kit can help you out a lot while you're still having to think the game
