It's good to be finally back!!!
I decided to opt in to make a Mercenary guide this time around as I had promised way back and because Mercenary is my personal favourite x)
After 10 months of inactivity, I've finally released a fully fledged video on my channel and I intend to keep on doing so. Thank you to all of you who have been eagerly waiting for my return, and I hope this at least somewhat pays back for all the wait :)

Good guide. I would add that I would hesitate to max the Protection skill, unless you will be using a shield in your second job, like some knights do.

Yeah you likely won't need it after 60, but the free re-skill is well utilized for that purpose. It's a good idea as a Knight for example get to 65 through questing and reskill for Power Stomp ^^

@@emenalus its a good skill after 65 also, if you want to be a pure SnS tank ;-) but yes if you save your free reskill until 65, that would be a good idea.

Guardian axe doesnt seem to be worth it anymore. From more stats to just str 5 and crit rate. Is it still good?

It's not that Guardian Axe is *bad*, but it's pretty much the best thing damage-wise available at level 60. It's definitely good, but do also consider the other options based on what you need the most and whatever suits your budget. Other notable options would of course be the Guardian Sword, and cheaper, situational alternatives would be the Dretra Sword or Taytra Axe. Pick your poison x)

when im playing mercenary, like 8 out of 10 hits are parried or missed, how tf am i able to just kill mobs without skills?

I actually explained that on the 1v1 portion! You need to build up enough hit rate to actually land your hits reliably and you can get this through buffs, equipment effects, upgraded sets and DEX. I recommend getting around 40% hit rate or above, but it might take you a while before you actually reach those digits :) Check flyffipedia.com for weapons and armor sets that boost your hit rate and try seeing if there's any support level 30 or above willing to buff you with a max Accuracy buff! My early-game tip for getting a lot of hit rate is mixing Petal/Flower and Comet/Cylos sets together for their 2-piece set effects, both giving you 10% hit rate each. But you might have to save up a bit for that. Hope this helped, feel free to ask if you have any more questions! ^^

Oh, and mind you that you can learn either Blazing Sword or Smite Axe buff at level 25. It gives 10% Hit rate when maxed :) Pick your weapon of choice and make use of that ^^

What do you suggest stats as a level 15 mercenary for solo

Honestly, you should check out my leveling series for how I went about it on my first steps. The problem is that a poor level 15 mercenary basically just sucks at everything, and putting all points into brute force isn't exactly the way to go :P Like I mention on the video, assuming you went for 1v1, you'd need a healthy dose of hit rate, attack speed and damage. And you don't have any of it when first starting out. How I'd do it though just for the sake of consistency, is that I'd focus on mostly putting points to DEX for some of that much needed Hit Rate and maybe a few points to STR so your damage won't be too low. Going up from there, you can learn one of the weapon buffs at 25 to get 10% extra hit rate for the specific weapon type and with each level giving you extra stat points, the status quo starts to slowly level out, and eventually you can find your character comfortable to play with. 1v1s are a rocky road in the beginning, but you'll get there eventually :)
