Thanks Kenneth! I really appreciate that man. It's hard coming up with ideas. I keep a digital notepad active at all times and jot down stuff that I think about during the day/week/month ... stuff I believe will be fun or go over well. Otherwise I'll forget it. Haha. Then I work on my list as throughout the week/month and keep trucking. Sometimes I don't like anything on my list and have to dig deep. There's always that second guessing and doubt but I keep rolling. 😎🎵🎵🎵🎵

I remember hearing a story that he approached Billy Gibbons on how to replicate his tone and sure enough From Wikipedia ""Money for Nothing" is a pop rock song.Knopfler modeled his guitar sound on ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons' trademark guitar tone, as ZZ Top's music videos were already a staple of early MTV. Gibbons told Timothy White of Musician in late 1985 that Knopfler had solicited Gibbons' help in replicating the tone, adding, "He didn't do a half-bad job, either, considering that I never told him a goddamned thing!""

Excellent pick! I remember when this album came out. Great song, though, my favorite was Brothers in Arms. Probably didn’t hurt that it was featured in an early season Miami Vice episode.

Hey Marty I know it won't have the same feel but could you use a pick and still get it done??
@Ranch5150SkinWalker10 ай бұрын
Absolutely, it will be fine. Mark has a little thumb and finger roll he does that gives it some rhythmic quality but a pick can emulate it. Truthfully it's easier for me (a pick player) to play it with a pick.
