Earworm: that catchy tune you can't get outa your head. Saw an article about the song and the real Sharona a couple months ago. I've watchee the Knack videos a zillion times since. Figured out a bit... But your video lesson is just what I need!!! Glad I found it. Cheers!

You're a great teacher, thank you! I play rhythm guitar in a cover band in Iowa in the USA. The singer really wants to do this song & I was having trouble figuring out some of the riffs. Now I know them all! You are the MAN!

EXELLENT! and thanks Justin, I had some basic practice sounds/progressions a bit similar, very very catchy, but you knocked it out of the park, as usual... this helped me a lot, as only play by ear so full credit to you again! cheers to you especially... and all! (special thanks coming soon)

Love you man! You’re the best... That song used to play at the public swimming pool when I was just a pup in a little town in North Carolina called Minneapolis a.k.a. Dogtown . People would pop quarters into the jukebox and play the song over and over, so it’s kind of burned into my brain, I just never tried to play it on the guitar! Thank you! Need you as a teacher years ago:)

1 suggested correction: at 9:22 - the F there is not played on the 1st fret, it's higher. I believe it is 6-5-7 on strings 2-3-4 respectively.

Appreciate the lesson Justin. One question, what fx are you using? Will any old distortion do? There are a lot of resources online for playing guitar, but I often find that the alchemy of fx is not mentioned.

Do you oil or otherwise treat your fretboards? It looks very nice and dark for what I assume is rosewood. Noticed it on your goldtop as well.

Justin, thanks for all the posted lessons. Very easy to follow. I'm a newbie. When I go between 1st and 3rd string, I seem to be contacting the 2nd string creating an annoying (unclean) hum. Any tips? Do you mute the 2nd string? Thanks,

The solo is certainly not in C minor pentatonic, it's in C major! Thus A minor pentatonic will do the job. It's not difficult melodically, but very fast! Very good and enjoyable practice material!
