RULES:
The object of the game is to have the most coins at the end. Give each player 5 one-value coins and a reference card. Remove the the 6 “supply shift” cards from the ingredient deck, then shuffle the ingredient deck and deal each player 4 ingredient cards. Players look at their own cards but keep them hidden from others. Flip over the top 5 cards of the ingredient deck in a row to form the ingredient market. Mix up the “supply shift” cards and add 3 of them randomly to the indigent deck, return the other three to the box. No “supply shift” card should be revealed or looked at during this process. Shuffle the ingredient deck again, then place it facedown next to the ingredient market. Shuffle the potion deck, then flip over the top 5 potion cards in a row opposite the ingredient market to form the potion market. Place the remaining potion deck facedown beside the potion market. Leave room for both deck’s discard piles.
Lay out the value track and place the 6 vials of ingredients, from bottom to top, like so: purple pixie powder, blue mermaid tears, green kraken tentacles, yellow orc teeth, orange phoenix feathers, then red dragon scales. The position of each ingredient vial on the value track determines its current cost and value for its matching ingredient cards in the deck. The number of dots corresponds to each cards cost, while the numeric numbers indicate the value of that card’s complete set.
Pick a player to go first, then play proceeds clockwise. On your turn, you must choose only one of the following actions: Buy, swap, or sell. You may not combine these actions nor skip doing an action. To buy, purchase 1 or 2 ingredient cards. Card can be bought from the ingredient market, or the top of the ingredient deck, or one from each. Each card’s cost is determined by the value track. To buy a card from the top of the ingredient deck always costs 2. Whenever a card is purchased from the ingredient market, immediately replenish it from the ingredient card deck before purchasing again or ending your turn. At the end of your turn, if you have more than 8 ingredient cards in your hand, you must discard until you only have 8. Discarding cards in this way has no effect.
To swap, pick 1 or 2 cards from your hand and replace them with the same number of cards from the ingredient market. You do not pay any coins and you may not swap with cards from the ingredient deck.
To Sell, you can discard a complete set of matching ingredients or sell a single card. At the bottom of each ingredient card indicates the number of identical cards needed to complete its set. To sell a set, discard it and collect its value in coins from the bank as indicated on the value track then perform a value shift. To sell a single card, discard it and collect no coins, but instead perform a value shift. To value shift, pick up the ingredient vial for the ingredient discarded and move that vial to the top of the value track, letting all the other vials slide down, changing their costs and values. You may sell sets and single cards as many times as you want in a single turn.
Whenever a “supply shift” card is drawn or flipped faceup to the ingredient market, immediately move the matching ingredient vial on the card to the bottom of the value track by value shifting the bottom vials one at a time. Once complete, discard the supply shift card and draw a replacement.
In additions to performing one of these action types, you are always allowed to craft potions on your turn if you want. To craft, discard the required ingredients as indicated on any face up potion card in the market to collect that potion card. Then replenish the potion market. You may craft potions on your turn as many times as you want. Potion cards do not count towards your 8 card hand limit. You may play a potion any time you want, including on another player’s turn. To do so, discard the potion and perform the action on it then collect coins from the bank equal to the profit listed on the card. If the potion deck runs out of cards, do not shuffle its discard into a new deck.
When the last card of the ingredient deck is drawn, the current player finishes their turn, then all the players, including the player whose turn it was when the last card was drawn, each take one final turn, then the game ends and the player with the most coins wins. For a shorter game, play that the first player to collect 30 coins wins.

Technically, the term includes errors due to mechanical failure or slips of the hand or finger, but excludes errors of ignorance, such as spelling errors, or changing and misuse of words such as "than" and "then". Before the arrival of printing, the copyist's mistake or scribal error was the equivalent for manuscripts. Most typos involve simple duplication, omission, transposition, or substitution of a small number of characters. "Fat finger" typing (especially in the financial sector) is a slang term referring to an unwanted secondary action when typing. When a finger is bigger than the touch zone, with touchscreens or keyboards, there can be inaccuracy and one may hit two keys in a single keystroke. Not necessarily. Just like if you pay 2 coins for a cheap ingredient, some things don't always work in your favor and you get nothing. In return, the shift may have caused something you're looking for to become cheaper, or have caused a set to become more valuable during a future turn. If the directions say take a replacement card, then do so.
