I ABSOLUTELY fucking love the way you explain these lessons! You are a credit to the profession of guitar teachers... If more instructors explained things the way you do...more people would understand the joy of playing guitar... Thank you very much for sharing everything that you do with us, your humble students.
@Kaspa20252 жыл бұрын
You are my absolute favorite instructor, you keep it simple and demonstrate every little nuance of how to play it, that really make a huge difference when you play it. Thank You, you inspire me to play more. I'd love to hear more on how you nail the tone on these songs too, gear, amp, effects settings etc what is probably simple for you can be a challenge for most.

One of the best explained and demonstrated tutorials I have seen.. It`s been so long since I played this in a band ,and I wanted to re-learn this only to see Ive been playing it wrong for all those years! Thanks for finally allowing me to play this right...

Favorite Bryan Adams song. Love the beautiful chord progression on the chorus and the soaring vocals. Great vocalist. Love most of his/their stuff. Everything I do is our wedding song. 🎸

Great lesson from a hugely overlooked artist (in our guitar community) in a super clean format that’s really enjoyable and accessible. Solid performance notes and a nice dose of music comp/production/ appreciation thrown in. Can’t say enough good things. Great work!

Awesome lesson. Love this song being a kid born in mid 60s. From my limited guitar skills it looks like the solo begins in B major when the rythm is alternating between B and E then when it goes to the chorus at D over C he switches to B minor scale for the remainder of the solo.
@brysonwood83564 жыл бұрын
I am definitely impressed. It amazes me how you make this look so very easy. Granted, we are not dealing with super technical playing, but sometimes it is harder to figure out what someone “felt” writing than the technical structure of leads and fills Awesome job 👍👍👍👍

I just came across your lesson. You did an amazing job. I am now following u and ur lessons on here. Yes please do more bryan adams classics. Would love to know Run to You by bryan. Also can you give us a tip on an easy way to memorize where all the notes are on the guitar when learning lead guitar. Seems like so much to remember lol. But any advice would be great. And if anyone wants to reply feel free. Thank you.

Thanks man, i eared this song and main part of solo in quite quick today. The 1st part around pos4 i chose it there too ...but the 2nd part i was trying to feel which of 3 positions felt easiest, and ended up playing it at pos13. But was still undecided, so will give your version a go tomorrow ...it may sit easier in my hands ...i like melodies (& chords) simplest to remember and easiest in the hand, even if it means sacrificing the voicing of some notes, or even dropping some 'passing' notes for ease. Gotta keep it light n fun ...and even improvise a few of my own notes into some solos, coz its what either sounds better (to me), or is smoother n simpler to play. Also, for the verse i was playing a root6 Bmaj, and root5 E5 (8va), then running down the E string. I also had the 2nd chord in the chorus as a Root5 Db(C#), which sort of worked but i will try your way here n see if the D/C# sits better. Thank you, you gave me another way of looking at it. As for the outro solo, il leave that one out to keep it 'rememberable' lol. And when i get comfy with the song, i may just improv' some short phrases there if it feels right.

great lesson I like this one a lot learn so much one thing I will say I find which is really cool is if you're on that B chord in the second fret slide up to the 7th fret hit that it kind of actually punches it out a little bit more and almost Blends in with the recording so instead of the E chord in the first position slide right on up with that same position 5 Frets to the 7th and hit the bar E chord just saying

Mutt is one of the greatest producers I've ever heard. All of the stuff with AC/DC, Loverboy, Def Leppard, Foreigner and Bryan Adams is so good. I'm not a huge country guy, but the records he made with Shania Twain are incredible too. Total perfection! Cheers Andy

Your lessons are PERFECT. ... Most KZbin teachers go way too slow. .....(P.S. should I take the pick up covers off my Custom Shop 59 Les Paul Reissue for better tone? ... or does it just look better? .... thanks in advance for your feedback.... I"m having a bitch of a time making this decision).
@weldaar7 жыл бұрын
Not much if a difference in tone, IMHO. I personally like covers on mine. I tried it both ways. You only pick up a small tad of highs without covers. I hope this helps.

There was a version by this poster where he simply played the various guitar parts (split-screened) where you could quickly access each bit. It appears that it's gone, which is a shame. Hopefully that's not the case for other songs where he used that format.
You should do a lesson for Uriah Heeps Lonely Nights!
