Are the notes evenly distributed? If so it should be fairly easy to index them in whole notes and make some kind of easily identifiable notches, grooves, or holes on the side, as reference points. Could be done to simulate frets or simply to have the middle- or fix points, like on an accordion.

I just ordered one and I can already tell, we're gonna be the opposite ends of the Otomatone spectrum xD I've been playing guitar for - 17+ years now and let's just say - people who can play a song just by hearing it confuse my brain so much. I mean - when I hear a note, I can tell if the one I play is the same or not, but my brain has never been able to do the whole task of hearing it, recognizing it, knowing where it is on my instrument and then playing it. That's just - not my world. But what I can do is read music and remember how to play it. Idk why my brain has difficulty hearing a note and identifying it when I have no problem seeing a note in sheet music and telling you if you played that note or not. So yeah. While you sit there and just master the Otamatone by listening to music, I know I'm gonna sit here with my sheet music and learn where every note is on the thing and get way too technical with a music toy, but oh man, I know I'm gonna have so much fun xD

If this doesn’t have recognized or standardized scales, idk if perfect pitch really matters for this. The biggest benefit is being able to make the right interval or find a scale, which is probably where the cello part contributes. I’m a classically trained flutist myself, and I DID take about 2-3 years of cello, so that was pretty cool to see that.

Yes you are correct. If you have time to be jack off and leave negative comments. Indeed get to college, true productivity😉...okay 👌 that’s how you get a note in tone. My son plays percussion and the piano. Hell I can’t play a tune in a bucket🤷♀️....I’m sure he will be able to figure it out. Does it show where the notes are? Also I have a few questions for ya. Is the white one a deluxe version? what is the difference when it says English vs. Japanese version? What is the difference between the original version and the techno version if you know?
