Just wanna say thanks. I watched a bunch of your videos today and accomplished everything I was hoping to do with the PS3 I picked up yesterday. Got PS3HEN installed, installed multiMAN, was able to transfer a backup game from my computer to the PS3 via FTP and also install a backup PS2 game off a USB drive. Great stuff, cheers.

*ABOUT THE CONFIGURATION* As I'm guessing right now, at this moment, config is optional and sometimes required, if your game is already a ps2 classic (Like most GTA games), leave it with the config the program recommends, if the program recommends just CONFIG (literally), check the compatibility list's notes on the game and use the appropiate configuration name, and if the list says nothing (and it's playable), cancel the configuration process, and the packaging will start anyway without configuration.

Probably none of them. If you've checked in the CUSTOM, GX, NET and SOFT directories and not found a match then just cancel the file requester and PS2 Classics GUI will continue. CONFIG files correct specific problems by controlling emulator features and sometimes patching games, they're not always required, some games just work.

It's because it's using a PS2 emulator, like an emulator on PC, configuration can drasticly change how the game behave. And the app contains configuration for ps2 if I understand this correctly.

There actually is a way to run ps2 games from the USB drive,but I haven't used it in awhile.You can encrypt iso's through multiman and launch them through the classics launcher without installing the game.

You probaly have in hands a bad mounted iso, basically, the iso probably doesn't have the file with this name inside it. This "SLUS..." Files are basically executables for ps2 games (like .exe for windows). The suggestion to solve your problem will always be one of these three: remount your iso (search on youtube), redo the backup of your disc paying attention to the process or download it for another place (i personally recommend look into reddit r/roms MEGATHREAD.

I've been working on this for a few days now and im stuck so im coming here since you always seem to be of help and I can not appreciate it enough. Ive got a super slim running HEN 3.0.2. Been trying to get my ps2 games to work on here but its not doing too well. Even attempted a PSP game and that didnt work either and its getting frustrating. Ik it’s way late but what I did is I looked up the title I’d for the game I was doing (SH2) and then I found that one in the custom folder and it worked. So find your games title id, look for it in all the folders and use the matching one

So I've followed this to the letter, with the exception of logging into PSN - I did this via the Apollo Save Tool instead and activated my console. I know this worked because what used to be a copyright error or similar no longer appears after activation. However, I now have an issue where when launching, I am told the content has a time limit....? Unfortunately the video implies that CONFIG files are required and that's not always true! Just cancel the file requester during the Make PKG step and PS2 Classics GUI will continue regardless. There's no guarantee the game will run but it's always worth trying. Update: I've now tried NASCAR 06, it doesn't need a CONFIG file. Update 2: Unfortunately after playing past the introductory race the game runs slowly and the sound glitches :(
