I remember seeing The Cult in concert on MTV, must have been '85 or '86 and at the time I didn't know much about them as I was more into metal but that live show was so good, I think it was recorded in some night club. I was like man these guys are good.

Many thanks, KDA! A big favor request: What specific effects & settings do you use to nail that tone? While this specific tune's tone really prompted the question, including effects & settings, perhaps when you mention the tuning at the beginning of your tutorials, would be really beneficial for us budding guitarists with less experience using effects. Chorus and a wee bit of delay. Reverb of course as well. Just used my little Blackstar practice amp, however needed to be careful of the Gain level. Had to actually re-do the whole tutorial cause I initially had too much gain. This little amp has all built in effects, so I just fiddle with it until I get it fairly close. At least close enough for doing a tutorial.

@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar Thanks much, KDA. I have a Boss ME-80 that I'll apply to my efforts on this one accordingly. That IDCore does look handy, but I opted for Blackstar's HT-5R MkII instead for its very affordable genuine tube tone. Good stuff!
