19 months into playing ukulele and I’m just starting scales. Thank you for this.

After teaching myself ukulele for a number of years - what you taught in this video was a major revelation of how (and why) to use scales! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Came here to say this!! I've been hobby playing guitar for 25 years and ukulele for 10 years, and this is the first time I've ever seen scales as useful outside of practice! ❤️

This video was a surprisingly big step forward in my playing. Very few lessons are as compelling and light (not overwhelming) on the music theory, truly feels like you just want everyone to be able to play tropical bass 👍

Big wow you blew me away what you did with that scale with that back up music going what's so beautiful I cannot wait to try that. I'm just starting scales and I had no idea you can do something exciting and beautiful with them what an inspiration you are thank you thank you

I knew I needed to sit down and Iearn/practice the scales (Ugh!)- C major, D Dorian, E Phrygian, F Lydian and G Mixolydian. I sooo dreaded the thought of it. 😣 But… You just turned it into something I now look forward to. 😁 Thank you!

It's all starting to make sense. Not as much as playing a song by reading the chords...you need us to hear it, not just read it and be able to use more of the neck. How cool. It's being to make sense...yup...thank you for alll your patience.

Second video I've seen on your channel, and I was gobsmacked that I had forgotten to sub. I'm learning the fretboard, and know the scales, but I was so glad you introduced modes.

Great video. Can you share with me please - what kind of electronics do I need to record my self playing and then loop it back so I can practice soloing over it ? As you did - thank you

Hi! If you have a pickup to plug in your ukulele, you can use a looper pedal.
