JL Nightmare I personally enjoy session more because it has that OG skate aesthetic and for a from-the-ground-up game from the physics to the animation, it is phenomenal, especially knowing how small the team is. I really hope this game gets the love it deserves and Xbox sales should accelerate the process. Amazing tutorial bro, I've just realized how complex these controls have become; a few months ago, when I started playing it, I thought it was difficult but now for new players the learning curve will be a little bit harder... Still worth every single minute learning it, it's impressive how one gets familiar to the controls and you can feel them like an extension of yourself and eventually most of the inputs for basic and medium tricks are almost like reflex to do! This is why the original controls are better than the legacy. Thanks for all your amazing videos, have been following you since a few months, wishing to play with your character in session, JL. Peace.

If you play on legacy controls you are robbing yourself of the full experience. Although not at first, I prefer the triggers now to control direction. It's amazing how far they have gotten with this and it's still in Pre Alpha, makes you wonder what 1.0 will be like. I'm really not getting all the hate Session is getting. I am stacking clips like crazy just in Chattam Towers alone. Although some things take time to get smoothly, I have not failed to make any line or trick that I have wanted in this game. It's not skate, you gotta work for it. I would have gladly played 60, but for 20 we are getting a heck of a game already. Support both games, we are already seeing that EA is churning out another Skate game, they ignored the demand for years and only after how far Session and XL have came and the hype around both games. I am almost certain it will fall very short of what these two games will have to offer. If Session is not up to your standards for being at the stage in development it's in (especially with how small the team is) you aren't living in reality. Thanks JL for the great tutorial, this is a wealth of information to help anyone new to the game, you definitely answered several questions for me.

Skate 4 will be light years ahead of this game but that’s okay because it’s being developed by a Triple A studio
@letsplayclassicgames50244 жыл бұрын
@@sean_69 but will it be? At this point theres no need to call Skate 4 anything other than the typical EA cash grab. Fans begged for another game for almost a decade only to fall on deaf ears. And let's face it, Skate 1 was the pure vision that was slowly diluted with each sequel. Not saying that skate 2 and 3 were bad, but with each game came a feeling of something missing, it didnt feel pure like the first game. The added features were nice, but the maps were pretty disappointing. Create a park was the only thing that kept Skate 3 alive in my personal opinion. I dont think the passion will be there like it is with XL and Session, theres no need for EA to reimagine the skate series and make it better than Session or Skater XL. I hope I'm wrong, but I imagine Skate 4 will be another mediocre map with a few new features. They already have a fan base why do they need to break their backs to re-revolutionize the realistic skate game genre. Like I said I really hope I'm wrong and you are right, but I honestly just dont see it being that much better or advanced than Skater Xl or Session.

In order to rotate, do you have to press the trigger before actually popping the board? It's impossible to control how much you actually want to rotate, and late 180's aren't possible to do.
@JLNightmare4 жыл бұрын
If you press trigger before popping you’ll do a wined up before rotating and spin faster. If you press the trigger after you’ll do a normal 180 or 360. Do do a late 180 you can Ollie, use the stick to turn your body then double tap trigger to rotate the rest of the way. I recommend using Pressure input so you can control how much you spin. is it possible to do grabs in legacy mode, and how do I do them on either difficulty
@JLNightmare2 жыл бұрын
No, it’s not possible to do grabs with legacy controls. Legacy has limitations and is only meant to help transition people from Skate to Session. The way you do grabs with the Session controls (left foot right foot Or Front Foot Back Foot), you enable Grabs in Experimental, then while in the air, hold either left or right bumper and push either Left or Right stick in a direction (left side of the controller controls left had, right side of the controller controls right hand) so example: regular stance nosegrab - hold left bumper, push left stick Up. However, couple things to note: Grabs are pretty unfinished in this version so they don’t work well. Grabs are also being cut from 1.0 because they don’t have the time and staff to work on them in time for 1.0 release (just because they are cut from September update does not mean they are cut forever) And Legacy controls are being removed in September since these aren’t intended Session controls. They have lots of limitations in what tricks you can do and they are another game’s control scheme. So I suggest learning the Session controls
