Thankyou Sir! Very well presented 👏… I also like to warm up playing entirely with a 1 finger rasguaedo - using each finger in turn starting with pinky through to index. 👏 🙏

David I have a task for you man,I am practising picado by watching your picado lesson and a few days back I came across this amazing and unique guitar player from Sicily named Matteo Mancuso who uses picado on the electric guitar to play rock songs and jazz standards but he is also using one more technique which is similar to picado(rest strokes) but different(free strokes),he said that it's a classical guitar technique in an interview and mostly uses it to play open shapes like 7th arpeggios and picado for closed shapes, can you please check him out and find out what technique that is and make a video about it,I will be really grateful to you🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hi Shiv! I checked out one of his vids. Very good player! So he’s mainly picking with a hybrid “free stroke” technique in his method. For Flamenco, we mostly use rest stroke for plucking melodies, but for classical, free stroke is used a bunch for picking melodies as well. I mostly use free stroke for arpeggios, but lately have been implementing free strokes into more of my classical pieces. For now, all I have up explaining “free stroke” is my arpeggio tutorial which explains the principles of free stroke for arpeggio phrasing. But you can use those same principles for picking melodies with the index and middle. Check it out and let me know if it helps at all. Otherwise I’ll try to put a dedicated vid out on it for you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYDJZ51no8qkl68

@@DavidChiriboga thank you man for checking him out❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,it means a lot and I think it will greatly help a lot of us if you can make a dedicated lesson on how to use that technique to play fast arpeggios or melodies like him❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥You are the best❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@shiv2033 Sure, I will do my best to throw it on the list. Honestly, when I need to pick quickly I always go to picado, its my confort zone and theI personally prefer the sound and attack on the string. But with practice, free stroke, can also reach high speeds and have a nice sound, as we can see in other players, especially in a lot of specifically dedicated classical players. I will expand more in the future.... Thanks for sharing a new artist with me as well! 👍🏼

Sure, I’d be happy to record some examples from beginner style to more advanced. This video was for people who want to learn the rhythm and already have heard some. But I’m happy to post some samples soon for 2024.

Thanks Miro! And thanks for the suggestion, I will see if we can add it to the list. Would be a fun one to break down. (Did you mean chords and rhythm or the solo melody lines?)
