I'd just like to point out that you didn't actually lie. At level 8, Sonic can only travel at 360 ft/round and that's with Feline Agility. While yes, Sonic does get up to 1200 ft/round eventually, you still weren't lying. Also, I love the vids! Keep up the sarcasm and memery about True Strike!

Chaos in Sonic doesn't really mean "Chaotic" things, it's basically just a glorified energy source. More chaotic things happen with it in the comics, but not in the games. As such, the Time Wizard from Wildemount might have been better, since they have time abilities and you could focus on Intelligence and not Charisma. Other than that, this is a pretty good build. Nice job.

Here's the thing though, Chaos Control and the Chaos Emeralds really have little to do with manipulating probability. Most often they're used to screw around with or travel through time. When they aren't doing that, they mostly just power things like Gaia Temples, super transformations, floating islands, etc. Basically I have the same problems with the use of Wild Magic here as I did when you made Scarlet Witch. Otherwise though, I'm fine with this build, that was just my two cents as someone who's fallen down the deep rabbit hole that is the Sonic Comics.

I'd pick draconic bloodline and focus on electric powers, mainly due to chaos spear. I'd also put thunderwave as a Chaos blast alternative

You never need to justify casting Fireball, you do need to justify how your character survives their own fireball unfortunately.

Episode #190 of the Fire Emblem stats: Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow's great at a number of things: in addition to the skill in brawling that he shares with Sonic, he's also great at reason (Chaos powers), bows (gun), and riding (motorcycle). He's bad at faith because he's too much of an edgelord. Compared to Sonic, he's pretty much identical except his magic is much better and his resistance is a lot worse.

One of my favorite things to do before I watch these vids is try guessing what the build will be with friends. It's fun to guess right in the direction you're going but it's also really fun to be surprised. This build is probably the most surprised I've been since your Shaggy build, though! btw afaik: After you used tides of chaos you basically have a 100% chance on a wild magic surge to happen after you cast a spell. Your DM can just choose if it happens or not. So bsically if you as a DM would just say that it would happen everytime you would get a lot of chaos if tides of chaos is used often.

I love you Tulok and the build is great, but I have a singular gripe. 'Chaos' in the Sonic universe is not the definition you followed. Chaos Energy is a force that flows through life and not 'mayhem' and/or 'rng'. While I understand why the normal definition of Chaos made for an easier video and much better for those that don't drown themselves in the lore of a 90s relic that speaks primarily through quips, it is a bit jarring to view the concept of Chaos (Especially in regards to one of it's most proficent users) as it's laymans definition. Regardless, great job on the video! Can't wait for more!

@@thatnerdcalledzanni3957 You are...very much correct with that, actually, I didn't realize that he didn't list off every spell one can get. Originally, I was going to suggest foregoing the 14th level of Fighter to get one more level of Sorcerer so that one could learn Dimension Door (because it's just about as close to Chaos Control as you can get) faster, but based on the rules of EK, you could *technically* get it by the time you hit 8th level EK, since you'll have a total spellcasting level of 8 and thus have the 4th level spell slot needed to learn the spell. Though if you don't mind not taking the Sharpshooter feat, maybe take that extra level of Sorcerer anyway for extra total spell levels (and the spell slots therein) if you wanted to focus more on the spellcasting side with all the Chaos Spears, Controls, and Blasts. =o

I know I keep harping about it, but it would be interesting to see some of the characters from Outlaw Star get built here. Gene Starwind would be a good excuse to actually build a Gunslinger, Suzuka would make for an interesting build (she's known in-universe as a deadly Assassin but she also seems to have a bunch of Kensei Monk properties), and Aisha ClanClan would make for an interesting cat build (Leonnin are a thing in D&D now and would really help emphasize just how strong her race in Outlaw Star, the CatrowCatarow, are). I don't know if I spelled Aisha's race right, but it shouldn't matter too much, I think what I have written close enough to sounding phonetically like her race.
