For 'Tongue of the Sun and Moon', in the comics at one point Jay Garrick remarks that he reads newspapers from all over the world and "When I come across a language I don't understand, I spend a couple of minutes learning it." so... I guess Speed Force IS the answer for that.

While no one realistically will need this much speed in D&D, if the Flash TV show is anything to go by you will be using most if not all of it to ineffectively run around your enemy in circles until they just smack you because you have no plan past running around them really fast. No seriously, why the hell does Barry always seems to do that when it has literally never worked once? Just... just punch them Barry, for god sake it would at least be an attempt at attacking them! It's not dodging an attack if you go in the same line and run into their fist instead.

Also, if you want to be the fastest creature alive, sorry Barry Allen but fantasy has you beat, choose the Tabaxi if your DM will allow Volo's Guide, just grab the Mobile Feat instead of one of the stat increments. Being a tabaxi allows you to double your movement speed again as a free action. So theoretically, at level 20, you can do move up to 1040 feet (~317 meters) in 6 seconds. With that being said, that means that if you do everything stated beforehand, your body is moving at approximately 118 mph, or 190 kmh every time you do this. That is definitely enough speed to be able to seriously injure or kill a person in one hit. The best part? It's not even maximized, if there is already a wizard with haste in your party, you can dump the wizard levels and gain another 5 feet. That may not sound like a lot, but it also gets multiplied by Haste (x2), Dash BA (x2), Dash A(x2), Dash HA (x2), which translates to another 80 feet, or a maximum of 1120 feet (341 meters) per turn. This number then translates to approximately 127 mph or 205 kmh. *5e is broken*
@nicholasharvey43935 жыл бұрын
TheGreySoul Well, technically speaking it's up to the DM whether player speed affects damage - for instance, the infamous "Peasant Railgun" is often ruled to be impossible, despite it following the rules as written. I personally would include some kind of damage multiplier based on current speed, but since 5e has no physics system it's not broken in the RAW.
@thegreysoul11495 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasharvey4393 While I do agree that the choice of damage from speed is largely left up to the DM since 5e is such a wonderful skeletal structure, that wasn't the point I was trying to take with my original comment. The point was that this is the base minimum of the maximum speed possible in every single 5e game, as I didn't even talk about the use of magical items and artifacts. So long as a 5e game has access to magic, which a good majority of them do, the minimum of the maximum speed possible is around 520 feet per 6 seconds, and that's assuming that Tabaxi aren't used. Assuming Tabaxi exist in the 5e game, the base minimum of the maximum speed possible increases to a whopping 1040 feet per 6 seconds. Both of those speeds are enough to be able to outrun a TARRASQUE 13 times if a human and 26 times if a tabaxi and while yes, It's not the true lowest maximum speed possible, **cough cough Aarakocra cough cough**, the point is still there. As I stated in my earlier comment, **5e is broken**.
@CJWproductions5 жыл бұрын

You forgot fast heal or is it fast recovery because the flash has that Barry Allen, in The Flash, doesn't have a healing factor in the sense that the term is typically used in comics. He is not able to heal wounds or injuries that normal humans could not. What he has is accelerated healing -- because everything about his biology is accelerated, he heals the same way that a non-metahuman would but it happens more quickly. For example, if a person Barry's age were to fracture a bone in their arm or leg, it would typically take about 6 weeks for it to fully heal. If Barry were to fracture a bone in his arm or leg, it might heal in a matter of days or even hours. However, if Barry's hand were cut off, the bleeding would stop and a stump would grow over the injury very quickly, but he wouldn't regrow a hand the way Wolverine would.

I would like a build that just does cat things to break the laws of physics, just like normal cats do, such as randomly becoming liquid, defying gravity, ect

Okay, great build and all, but doesn't Barbarian-totem warrior Elk not do a bunch of speed things too.

I tend to do Four Elements, and focus on wind, lighting, thunder and fire, and blame it on friction, wake, etc.

"Our version of the Flash will be the fastest one of all." "Barry" Bart Allen: Am I a joke to you?
@fabian2685 жыл бұрын
RadicalGam3r YT wally is by far the fastest
@adwitatherealadwita5 жыл бұрын
Yeah but didn't Bart at one point absorb the entire Speed Force?

Wait never mind, Bart COULD have been the fastest but was never stated as being so, so canonically Wally is faster until we get a specific answer.

RadicalGam3r YT he mighta been the fastest in a very specific point of time, but i was just speaking on a consistent basis

Actually, if you wanna maximize speed, you need to use the tabaxi race as they have a base 30 speed, but can double it as a free action because of Feline Agility.

I would trade the Wizard levels for a couple in Rogue and in Fighter, just to mitigate more action economy, which basically means that we can exponentially double our movement speed each time. And besides, Rogue and Fighter have much more multiclassing synergy with Monk. Also, we could change our race to Tabaxi or Forest Elf (keeping things in PHB/Adventures League legal) for even more speed.

Tobaxi double movement Fighter 2 action surge Monk 2 +10, dash as bonus Bard 3 school of blade +10 Wizard 5 transmute +10 Long stride +10, hast x2 Barbarian elk +25 Gloom stalker +10 Mobility +10 Boots of speed x2 Move =920 X5 (actions) Action - dash Action surge - dash Bonus - dash Move Haste action - dash Base move 4600 = 766.66 feet per sec Or 522.72 mph

With 3 rogue levels you get cunning action and if you take the charger feat your damage gets a nice boost without sacrificing an action with mobile you dont have to worry about opportunity attacks personally think its better then some of those last few levels and 1 or 2 points of dex

Tabaxi's ability doesn't double your speed. It let's you move up to your base walking speed a second time.

If you wanted real speed, you'd have thrown out VH for tabaxi. Take mobile as a feat later, but that opportunity to double your movement speed just makes the build better.

Should add some items to go for as their is one race and a certain item that doubles the maximum movement you have given here

well if you do it right you won't use all of your speed all the time since running in hitting an opponent and then taking that free disengage action to get out of dodge will make your GM hate you because you almost never get hit with patient defense and such high speed not to mention having such high speed also has utility uses like lets say that their is a town filled with zombies and no one knows where the survivors are well buff up and sprint through the entire neighborhood marking all of their locations on a map of the city and head back to the rescue party

I'm trying to figure out how to make a Flash for Pathfinder. I made a Captain Cold easily enough and I'm just looking through the feats to finish Hulk. But Flash is just not going well. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to ignore just focusing on running speed and get spells or class features that do teleportation type effects insteads. As well as feats that let me attack while moving.
