Greenthumb is played in the interesting key of Eb Minor (which would be the G# Minor position in standard tuning) and uses a blend of the blues and natural minor scales.
This one is a really great example of how to write an awesome tune in 4 riffs that all use the same basic notes and scales.

Since I don't have the Magic Fuzz, I use the BAT Crown of Horns and Walpurgis. Nailed the tone. I also have the Doomcaster. If you want a little scooped mids, use the volume boost on the Crown of Horns. If you want more pronounced mids, use the Doomcaster insteard of the volume boost. Its sounds great either way. Jam on, Steve, keep teaching. I love Jeff's tone.

I just got mine today off reverb after this I'm done buying pedals for a while that Conan signature Fuzz throne hurt my poor wallet but when I saw that Bongzilla pedal it's like well... I dont NEED another fuzz pedal but dammint I want it lol

heres kind of a random question. Do you have any speaker preferences ? I was thinking about getting an Orange Cab, which got me thinking about what speakers come stock on Matamp cabs, Sunns etc. Have you found yourself gravitating towards any specifically ?

Matamp cabs are all over the map. My favorite speaker is the Celestion G12K-100, which is what I use for the main guitar tracks on all my lessons. They came stock in the 400W Orange HP8 cabs (which is the cab beside me in this video).

for me my op amp big muff through clean channel on my orange micro dark gets super close. epiphone G400, bridge pick up, tone rolled way down.. playing through a 90's marshall 4 x 12. the behringer hyper fuzz gets close too but haven't played with that one enough yet bc the big muff just works so well for this kind of thing
