A chordy version, gentle slap bossanova (there are some nice picking versions out here too). Some people use a capo but you have to keep moving it: complex stuff, Mister Simon.

Love the combination of your lullaby humming and sweet bossa nova strings. My stresses have just disappeared. Appreciate the chord guidance too! So long and thank you!

I love this song since its early time, and now I became interested in its chords. Thanks for sharing your beautiful harmonization. Congrats from Rio.

I appreciate this so much! My nephews just graduated from Florida Southern, the campus of which is dotted with Wright buildings, some constructed after his death. Walking around looking at them got me thinking about this song, and since I am a bossa nova player myself, I went looking for help with the arrangement. Again, thank you!

Very good version. Original is tuned half a note down. I think this chord progression nails it. Great work Andrew! Thank you

Grande Andrew! Bellissima interpretazione. Ce ne fossero di video del genere...non avremmo più bisogno di leggere partiture.

I've been trying to work this out for years. I can see now why I never did quite get it right. Very complex song. Good job.

Great job of "straightening" this progression out a bit. I couldn't quite hear the changes on the recording but you've got a very workable arrangement here. Thanks!

The d74 thing around 1:18 is a Gsus4. So, the sequence for “architects may come…” is Am7, G, D#6, Gsus4, G. It’s a good arrangement imo. Some tabs suggest a variation of Adim here, not as good. P.S. the voicing I like for Gsus4 here is x355x5 (starting from the high E). His is xx555x I think

A beuatifil piece of music! Now, where do I get the chords for the guitar?
@jamesthenabignumber10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this great tutorial. I think the chord at 1:18 might be better expressed as Cm/Eb. Also, I was wondering if the Am at 1:13 is a C7 since it has a G7 before it? Thanks.

Thanks James - you could well be right about the 1.18 chord, it's one I don't feel 100% confidence about - would you actually play a different shape, or is it just the naming?
@oindroi10 жыл бұрын
... and the Am at 1:13 is kind of illogical but I think it's right. Thanks for listening / commenting

andrew ingram Hi Andrew, I should say first that I am a pianist, and know very little about the guitar! The one at 1:18 is mostly about naming, although if it's an Eb chord, it seems to be missing the 5th. A Cm/Eb chord makes it a IVm chord, whcih seems closer to Simon's style (there's a Cm in 'Still Crazy', in the key of G).

On a second listening, I think you're right about the Am! Apologies!

simply goodest, I can have the tabs?.

Not to be rude, but if you’re trying to learn a song like this, I would’ve guessed you would have developed some kind of ear and would be able to figure this out simply by watching the excellent tutorial in front of you.. after I found KZbin I ditched the tabs altogether.. found they complicated things far too much and were almost always inaccurate.

Almost right, but there are some errors. Certainly good enough to play for anyone, but not what's on the recording.
