The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls is a multiplayer card game that is fun, easy to learn, and a social experience that captures the best aspects of the beloved indie roguelike video game it is based upon, and translates that to the game table all while bringing fresh ideas and innovation to its multiplayer setting.
This video will teach someone who has never played before how to play in only 15 minutes. Luckily, the gameplay is easy to learn!

This is a wonderful video and you are spot on with the core mechanics. As Someone who has literally put hundreds of hours into this card game and the expansion I will say there is more to this than meets the eye. A lot of treasure/loot combinations you will have to come up with your own system to how they work together and it isn't quite as simple as "what is written on the card you do". This is by FAR my favorite card game and there are so many ways you can customize it to you and your friends liking. For instance we got wild and the new standard has been to play with two character eternals, a starting snake draft of 2-4 starting treasures, and an end goal of at least 5 souls. The bottom line is that I love Ed and the enjoyment he has given me and my friends, and I hope you guys have fun and get creative with his amazing game.

I backed the project on Kickstarter back in July and got my copy last week. Since then I’ve played the game 4 times with friends the game is very good and interesting. You will die a few times and I believe that may turn off some people who see dying in games negatively, but otherwise it’s fairly easy to teach. Responding to actions is also balanced and interesting, where if you attempt to use your character card on someone else’s turn and they only draw a loot and end their turn you can’t respond and have wasted the activation of your character. You may respond to the action of drawing loot cards however which I have used to manipulate the top of the loot deck before. You may also respond to any die rolls like the professor shows and this can lead to some fun shenanigans. The only other downside is that you sometimes don’t find monsters with souls for a while and have to farm the monster deck. I grade the game 8/10 this is only personal opinion, don’t let it affect your perception of the game.

having played both, I can't really disagree. However, the games don't end with one person trying to level to 10, getting obliterated by everyone else, only for the person right next to them to win immediately, which is how my munchkin games always ended. Also the rules (specifically "when can i do what") are way better defined in four souls than munchkin. That's my take on it so far, I didn't get to play it much until now though

Really surprised and happy to see this video and happy so see the game get more exposure considering its restricted availability. I actually played this game with some people from my commander playgroup as mentioned in the video, and the experience in magic helped us a lot in getting the hang of it. I can reccomend it for sure, especially if you like the style/setting of the original roguelike.

One slightly incorrect thing in the video or at least not mentioned is that you cab respond to anything both on your turn and on others (including loot cards if you activate your player card) you can respond to dying before you've paid the death penalty and you can respond to dice roll results. In some ways its simpler than MTG but in others more complicated

I don't understand the: "attack top monster card"-part He says to put it over another monster, but he puts it beside the others. What happens if you don't defeat that monster? Does it go back to the pile? Does it stay beside/on top of the other monsters??

It goes on top of the monster of your choice and covers them till it dies. Then you have 2 monsters in the field and don't have to replace a slot.

While the final card unfortunately got nerved quite hard, his was quite the oppiste, and had no mana activation cost for either ability. He also had an interesting idea for the flavor behind the card, which would fit the theme of this card game: »[I] had pushed the idea of the card being a succubus or vampire type creature that would drink your blood and spit it at stuff, but wizards liked the idea of a crazed child assassin a lot more.«
