Isn’t two notes an Interval … so, not a Chord? ie. The simplest ‘Power Chords’ double the root (3 notes).

A dyad is a pair of pitches sounding together (in other words, a two-note chord). Since a dyad is defined by the interval between the two pitches, dyads are often simply called intervals. So yes! however, this particular video is intended for beginners so we don’t really need to cover this just yet. Maybe later when we’ve all sat down and listened to some Chuck Berry? Merry Christmas 🎉

you don't know how many chords of 3 notes there are, ( no matter the instrument, no matter the tonality, no matter the octaves) hence you shouldn't recommend to the begginers to play that particular combination of 3 notes aka major chord that you dare to call them by the note, because so much normalization of this fail repeated by millions of people who never will bother to be interested in which is the total number of possible and correct chords ( no matter the instrument, no matter the octaves, no matter the tonality). you just don't know that variety, hence this video is actually misinformation.
