Thanks, mate. Because of the ingame tutorial I started with a foundry and nearly lost all my motivation when there was nearly no iron to buy and I pretty much never had any money.

My experience with craftsmen; Entire bloody town hates me because I "No more busts in stock? How disapointing". Which is not a -1 or a -2 favor bonus, but a -5. x'D No idea how I am supposed to keep half the town from feuding me like this. I found it easier to keep people happy playing rogue. Nice series though, helped me out quite a bit, despite having sunk many hours into it already.

Mah-Dry-Bread you know whats easier is to click on the actual city hall and you can apply for your title without having to send your person to it directly. Its very helpful imo. Let me know what you think.

iirc that was patched in after these videos were made. There was a pretty big experimental (now base-line) patch that came out pretty much right after he finished a lot of the series that added a bunch of quality of life features.

It also costs more, if you have bargaining you can get a lower price if you actually talk to the guy instead of clicking the hall

You mentioned automating the weaving mill? How would one do that? If you put it on ai management they will just make random items. Wouldn't that be less effective than manual purse-making?

From my experience ; Goldsmith doesn't give much profit in a map full of poor people and very few wealthy family. Armory forge give a lot of profit in a map with active bandit camps. Armor and weapon are consumed fast by merc and bandit ,and guardsmen. That moment when you shut down all bandit business ,though....

Thanks so much for all the Guild 2 tutorials. It's a really good game, but unfortunately it's not eassy to play if youdon't know how to. Iplay in a Mac, so that makes hard to get the version with tutorial.

At 13:15 you hover over the dagger and it shows Buy 195$-419$ Sell 41$-253$ But what does the 195$ and the 41$ means? I understand that the 419 and 253 are the prices tof the market

There is a setting in the game folder DB, that lets you change worker time to 24/7 lol no more lonely work nights =) helped when trying to save big money for titles.

Bread, First off thank you for doing these tutorials I found them very helpful. I do have one question though..in your videos buildings for sale have the coin icon over the building. However, in my version of the game (steam..updated to 4-211) the coin for a building for sale is shown as a sign with a coin in front of the building. So you have to scroll around in real close to see it. Are you using a mod in your videos or am I missing a option somewhere? I have looked in all the options but haven't seen anything that seems to correspond to that, and have found no info online about it. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

I'm not using a mod in it. Maybe it's a glitch? Did you go to the properties of the game on steam and set it to the newest version? Weirdly enough, default is not the newest one.

Do you have something like "courting for dummies?" cause that´s what i suck at. btw on a scale of 1-10 how dumb is it, to buy a brickery after upgrading to weapons forge? just to not pay the ridiculous price for whetstones for longswords?^^ i kinda checked the market saw the price and went f that i´m gonna buy a brickery^^ (i kinda wanted a smithy because i thought "i´m gonna mary a rogue and get some robbers but yeah i suck at courting^^)

Nice Tutorials, cheers. I have hard time with my employees. They are very low on hitpoints and they neither get better after visiting a pesthouse nor while sleeping in their worker house. I can't find any tip on that. I don't even know whether it is a bug or challenge and I do need to do something about it... I wouldn't even know how to... Is there a way to heal an employee?

Just came back to playing with the recent patch and your videos are a lifesaver. I have a question regarding foundries: do you find it more useful to go for a goldsmith or an armorsmith first? I'm unsure which ultimately pays off earlier (until I have one of each).

bought this game a few days ago.... im playing a rogue as my first class... would marrying a craftsmen be the best choice for a rogue...? i figured being able to make weapons and armor would equip my people with them would very helpful...

It's a solid combo. Having your own blacksmith for making weapons for a Rogue is pretty good.

How are you controlling the market if you can't (as far as I can see from these vids) set your prices. I understand if the price automatically goes high due to a lack but how do you get paid more (rather than just selling lots) if you simply own all examples of say wood or mines?

The less of an item is in the market, the more it's worth. If you owned all wood on the map, the price would naturally go up as people buy it and you don't sell it. Likewise you could flood the market with wood and make it cheap to buy. Keep in mind that you don't set the market price even if you have a monopoly. The market is buying these goods from you to then sell to people. The market ultimately decides the price. Having a monopoly still helps you though because it gives you the option to starve the market of a resource either in an attempt to force the closure of other people's businesses or to drive up the price for a big sale.

I'm not sure if I missed something, but I started a craftsman before I came and watched your video. I made a foundry, and found that I wasn't getting alot of cash off of it, and watching your video helps with that. But another thing I found is that people would continuously walk up to my shop in Danzig and i'd get minus opinion markers from them before they walked away. I was wondering if anyone has a clue as to what this is. Is it from not having things in your sale stock, or what?

Could be for not having something in sales stock, but I haven't noticed that if that's an issue. Have you checked the town's notice board? Could be that people slandered you on it.

IIRC, disappointed clients do leave with a worse opinion of you if they don't get what they came for. On the plus side, if you actually provide them with it, you might not have to pay the taxes that way, as opposed to selling in the market, but I'd have to check again.

The extremely short version of it is that I'm disabled, KZbin is my job, I can hardly record anything because I'm living in a one room apartment with my also disabled mother because my manic depressive father who abandoned us is now not paying us the money we need to buy food and pay for our old house despite a court order so everything is fucked.

what i hate on this is: when you wanna go big at production, the automatization is badly implemented. always something missing in storage or there is too much of something.. best implementation of storage was seen at Anno series.. This is rly crap.

It is, but what I found is that you can't force them to buy and sell in your own town, only "map wide" or "in the city" (which might not be yours...). Unless I missed something, that's really inconvenient :-/

These aren't as much guides as they are walkthroughs. You show basic controls and where everything is, but ultimately, the player is still just as lost and confused as what they started with, albeit with more control. I'd love to see different jobs pros and cons explained, how combining different skills achieves different results, how to use and influence the market - stuff useful throughout the game, not just "To start, do this, and you're done". High quality video, very bad tutorial. But hey, at least it's better than the in-game one.
