That's amazing. I'm diaspora trying to keep connected with the roots and want to learn this great instrument. How would I even get my hands on one of these in Europe??

I just recently bought a cheap kalimba and your videos are helping me make sense of how to get started on it so much! The mbira really is one of the most beautiful sounding instruments I've ever heard

How are you ...you are very educative but I will be happy if you play the NHARE type of mbira

Thank you so much. I am still learning myself and I am planning to learn all kinds of mbiras. The next one will be Mbira Dzavadzimu. I will get to NHARE :)

This is so helpful. I don't have a mbira yet but I do have a Hugh Tracey Afroharp and the right side of the mbira is laid out very similar. The left is different Now I want a mbira. Ha ha :)

How long does it take to learn mbira?
@RhythmInAfrica4 жыл бұрын
Welcome aboard man. It'll take less than an hour to play an easy part of Chamutengure and years to learn more complex things, so it all depends on the level you wanna get to :)
