That sounds excellent to me my friend! You just never know when you are going to be in Leeson Pub or Paddy Blues and need to play along! ;)

Living in the UK and would love to learn how to play I'm 3d printing a flute as we speak I'm just hoping it will work out somehow it's a 6 hole but not sure of the scale it will be if any but this information and your knowledge is very helpful and I'm very greatful thank you Charlie :)

Thank you so much for your kind words my friend! With a little practice, even a 3D printed flute will most likely play! Having said that, we have flutes which probably cost less then 3D printer cord costs! Likewise, our international shipping is pretty reasonable! - bluebearflutes.com -

I actually only have six-holed flutes that the third hole from the top is just another note. So ironically I need to figure out how to play the scales on those sort of flutes lol.
@BlueBearFlutes5 жыл бұрын
It is ironic however no difficulty whatsoever. You can actually use this tutorial for how to play those flute types as well, simply do not use the top hole. :) Coincidentally, those are the only types of six hole flutes I play as well and I'm accustomed to using them to play these scales also, so I may make a video for that in the near future as well. Thanks for watching!

I was given a six hole flute and have no idea what key it's in. Anybody have an idea of how to find out what key is? I don't have access to anyone who plays a flute and I know very little about music. No
@BlueBearFlutes2 жыл бұрын
I would probably email that old Blue Bear and ask him. You could send him a picture of it which will probably help out the most. Also, typically all holes covered represents the key although that is not accurate if the flute is not made correctly.
@young19392 жыл бұрын
Thanks, this flute may not have been made correctly.

@@young1939 You know, I've been making Native American Flutes for more than 35 years, many other flute makers have learned from me and if I can help bring new life into an old flute, it brings me great joy!

@BlueBearFlutes I took a picture of my flute with my cell phone, but have not figured out how to send it. I'm not very tech savvy. Comes with being 83 year old. I blew into it with all the holes closed and my guitar tuner on. D came up on the tuner. Does that mean it is a D flute?
