THANK YOU. I couldn't find the hero army/campaign map bonuses anywhere online. You kick ass. Didn't want to build anything without knowing because the buildings are so expensive and time consuming

I hadn’t touched the wood elves until the sisters came out. I was missing out! All the factions have a unique play style and fun campaign. I love not having to take over the world to win a campaign, just gotta heal the forest by murdering everything lol. Way less city management. However, having to accomplish things with half of the armies than most races due to the lack of money making buildings can be a struggle. Just gotta make sure not to travel too far from the forest, keep yourself centralized around those big trees. Diplomacy is also super important so that you can more freely leave your cities without worrying about invasions.

I just started playing the sisters this week and I've been loving it. I'm currently roaming the world with a hawk rider spam, a waywatcher spam and a treeman spam and it has been a lot of fun. What I like about the dlc is that your campaign is quite different to those of the other races. Your campaign revolves around getting the 8 or so trees healthy and you can teleport in between them. This means that if you'd like to, you could face the Dark elves, the Green Skins, the Lizardmen, Tomb Kings and Bretonnia, all at the same time.

Been playing the twin sister's campaign and am at turn 70, and I feel that the spell weavers and spell singers are really useless. This is because I barely have enough money to field 1-2 armies, you get Ariel around turn 20-30ish and you have to make an active effort to pick another lord or hero that doesn't have spellcasting abilities. In addition, unless I am playing this game wrong, I don't see the point in having more than 1 spell caster in an army as they all share the same mana pool and once out of mana, they are more useless than skeletons. So you have to make some huge army gymnastics to include a spell weaver into your army if you want to avoid having another spellcasting unit in your army as well.

I had 6 active armies when I played that campaign, how do you play yours? Do you occupy conquered town/cities? I played that campaign focusing only on regenarating forests, and destroying nearby towns and cities, it made me pretty rich in game just to plunder conquered cities.

Seriously? A section about Drycha that doesn't mention her wild spirits mechanic or modified building tree or reduced availability of high level elf units or unique buffs to tree spirits or that she has treemen on friggin' tier 3? Seriously? That's not a good guide, sorry. EDIT. See two replies below.

Maybe because all that goes in the campaign section since, yknow, it’s to do with the campaign

@@ColonelDamneders Ok, I see. I admit I did not watch and memorize all three of your Wood Elf guides and you do provide some of this info in there. HOWEVER, even knowing to look into them, most of the issues remain or at least you've made this series of guides so convoluted that it's hard to find this info: 1. Wild Spirits - you did cover their basic stats in the battle section and say a few good things about them, and you mentioned their existence in Drycha's campaign guide, but that barely does them any justice. The most amazing thing about the wild spirits is the extent to which they can be improved. Where standard units get tiny buffs from the red line which don't really change how the units behave at all, these get massive bonuses. Speed, resists, attack, defense, anti-large damage and even stuff like Stalk for wolves and spiders. Particularly the last two, given all the buffs, become proper medium-heavy cavalry with Stalk, which is borderline OP. Great Hawks' AP damage and large charge bonus with the right skills/tech allows them to quickly cut down e.g. flying lords or other heavy units when (cycle) charging in the back. They're powerful and fill Drycha's roster beautifully in the absence of all high-end elven units. They also beat standard cavalry/flanker units in the sense that it's much less of a deal if you risk them for flank attacks because you can instantly recruit them anywhere. Also, Wild Spirits available for recruitment are region-based, not just filling up over time. Despite all the above, you portray wild spirits as if there was nothing interesting about them. Disagreed. 2. Drycha and her faction. I can't find any mention of fundamental, gamechanging elements of Drycha's faction, like no top-tier elven units at all or treemen at tier 3. This is massive, cause treemen under Drycha are not just cheaper and come earlier, but are stronger, including the (sadly not stacking) Murder of Spites passive available from her unique tech. This naturally makes treemen a good option for the core of Drycha's army very early on, also elevating the importance of wolves and spiders as screening units for the slow center. Also Drycha's ability to summon Dryads (which are very powerful in her army) anywhere creates this unique one-two punch playstyle of dealing with backline shooters where you pincer enemy shooters between flanking wolves/spiders and surprise dryads. No mention of any of this at all. On top of all this, your guide is a bit of a functional mess. Trying to find comprehensive info on Drycha's gameplay forces me to look for 10 different moments over three long clips that don't even have links to each other in description. I understand the idea behind how you organized your guides and I understand why it's good for an overview of the Wood Elves in general, with overview of each core aspect one at a time with faction-specific details sprinkled in for good measure, but it completely fails for people who want to understand a particular subfaction, even if you included all of the important info (which I'm pretty sure you didn't or at least I couldn't find most of what I mentioned). Lastly, it's not like this guide has nothing to do with the campaign. You open Drycha's skill tree in this video, which is a campaign-only mechanic, but you completely ignore the wild spirit buffs on the top of it. Overall, your guide has some missing yet critical information. Either that or you're making it unnecessarily hard to find. Either way, constructive criticism is due.
