@@FirBurger98 i also learn by myself. all you need is understand the bigger picture and practice on purpose. example, dont just learn song. breakdown that song. what key they played, what scale, what chord progression, the tempo. and figure out how it works together. this gives you more abroad insight from just one song. but sure it needs focus, and take some time to learn few things and a little theory. once i get this mindset, practicing guitar is more fun than before.

If you check out John's 'private GW magazine lesson' here on youtube, you can see that he doesn't do that pinky slide, he hammers from his ring finger to his pinky before moving his ring down to the d string. i'm not saying one is right or wrong, just wanted to point out how john seems to do it, and throw it out there as an alternate way of fingering that part. cheers marty, as a 40 year guitarist i always learn a ton from your lessons.

Great lesson Marty! I would really like to see some more Gary Clark Jr., like When My Train Pulls In, also Ball & Biscuit by Jack White and more Black Keys, that kind of heavy blues, primal guitar sound. That sound and feel is just so awesome and plain fun to play. Any of their stuff or other artists in that style is great. Could you take us further into that type of playing? That down and dirty blues/rock just gets to my soul, please consider this Marty. You did some of this years ago and no one else seems to teach it better.
