Love it. Another way to play 'unplayables' is go to a game store that has bulk and just build a deck from that w/ friends for a challenge. My 'least played card' is Carry Away (213 decks) which I run in Zur the enchanter. A more played card is Hot Soup. The downside doesn't matter as much because damage-based removal isn't too common and it not having shroud compared to whispersilk cloak is so much more convenient. Hot soup has almost 7,000 decks compared to the Cloak's 200,000.

going back to the background discussion, your experiment of a video turned out great. I completely forgot about it. But the downwards pan at 4:36 spooked me a little due no card being onscreen and me realizing how high the video was taken. The movement afterwards it fit right into the video. Another pan at 9:23 which brought me out of my focus in the subject. My favourite underplayed card are overwhelming intellect, head games, gather specimens, Suppressor Skyguard (Pramikon), Phthisis & Private Research (Upkeep Obeka) and Repay in Kind (Aristocrats), Curse of Conformity (Winota), Force of Savagery (+1/+1 Counter Arwen)

Nice! Glad to hear that this is an improvement. Looking at it again, you're right that the movement was still a little jarring. I'll keep working on it :)

I have two terrible pet cards which are Fire Covenant and Volcano Hellion. Both are unique in that they basically just ask you to pick a number and you get to blast one or more creatures with that amount of damage, but also blast you as well. I play them in my Stuffy Doll/Pariah damage redirect deck. Lots of bizarre cards in that deck but those two especially get eyebrow raises!

I love it! That sounds like a lot of fun. Volcano Hellion would be even better if you had a way to give it Lifelink as well. Something like Whip of Erebos? Hmm...

Fire Covenant is great! Love that art, it's like you just went into that dragon's cave and he's giving you the side-eye right before he blasts you.

Honestly you can play jank in standard as long as you’re a good player and you know fundamentals I made mythic with a Dungeon deck in standard

What if you’re trying to string together a deck of cards that were made to barely work together?
@Unplayable-MTG6 сағат бұрын
Hmm, I may need more context. Are you building around a janky strategy? That might be another video entirely.

@ You could say that since I’m going insane trying to fit together the dice cards in a 5c deck, but I think trying to fit them together is like trying to take a hammer to a jigsaw puzzle-

I'd argue that Rulik Mons, Warren Chief IS generically good on it's own. While there are certainly ways to improve the effect (Wulfgar to do it twice, Mirri's Guile to manipulate your top deck, etc) one would be hard-pressed to argue that either of these effects (Put a land into play tapped OR a peek at your top deck and a free body) would ever be anything but generically good. Relatively minor effects to be sure but, generically good nonetheless.
