America held a special niche on the music scene. They didn't mind showing simplicity and vulnerability in their sound. It distinguished them from the field and made them a singular force occupying their own special lane.

Wonderful Andy! Electric is always fun, but when you play acoustic, you are naked, nowhere to hide, no distortion or effects to cover mediocre playing. Every note, buzzing or not is audible! Not to mention it is so nice just to plunk down anywhere and play...no electrical cords needed. That is what has made Led Zeppelin so appealing to me personally, tons of acoustic! As always, you make this America song and so many others appear much easier to play than they really are! Great song and thanks for sharing your talent! Ever thought of or had requests for Highway Song by Blackfoot? Would love to put that one under the belt!

Awesome, thank you for this. Could you make a lesson for Kid Charlemagne by Steely Dan, please. :D
@dianapavero80517 жыл бұрын
Here are the chords Gabriel ( some you will have to look up): Intro - C7, verse - Am - G6 - F6/9 - Bb13 (twice) , ( Did you feel like Jesus...) goes like this - G-C-G - Am ( which is triad on third fret , looks like C), Cmaj7- Dm7 - G6-F6, Em7 , Am, Fmaj9, Em7add4, D - back to C7, repeat all, "Get it on, Kid Charlemagne..." goes like this - Dm7 - Em7 ( 3 times) F7 - G7 - back to C7 repeat all, along with chorus, then begin guitar solo ( many chords! Steely Dan songs can be very chordy) Em7b5 - A7 - Dm - Dm7 - Bm7b5 - E7 - Am G6 - Fmaj7 - Em7#5 - Dm7- B7b9- B7 - Em7 - D6 - Cmaj7 - single strum next two chords - Em7 - D/E then a short verse chord progression - Am - G6 - F6/9 - Bb13, then - Fadd9- G, then Am - G6 ( then the same chord progression right before chorus ) then C7, last full verse with chorus, then outro chords- Fmaj7 - Em7 - Dm7 - Cmaj7 -Em7 ( repeat and fade . I hope this helps! Good luck with the leads, I am just a rhythm guitarist.

DJ Pavero hahaha thank you buddy
@dianapavero80517 жыл бұрын
I have decided to give you fingerings of chords above; lots of the chords just use bits of chords( in other words, the chords are inferred through how these bits are used). so without further ado, here are the chords: C7 - 8(10)8988; Am - 577555; G6 - 353453; F6/9 - x87788; Bb13 - 6x6788; (The "did you like Jesus" segment of the song is rapid fire, you will have to listen to the song to get the feel); G - xxx43x; C - xxx55x; Am7 - xxx553; Cmaj7 - xxx453; Dm7 - xx321x; G6 - xx99xx; F6 - xx77xx; Em7 - xx543x; Am - xx755x; Fmaj9 - xx7588; Em7add4 - xx77877; D - xx77(10)x. Now we get to the chorus chords( "Get it on..."); Dm7 - x57565; Em7 - x79787; F7 - x8(10)8(10)8; G7 - x(10)(12)(10)(12)(10). The guitar solo portion of the song is very choppy and rapid fire ( chordwise). The rhythm guitar is way in the back; you have listen hard to the recording to hear them). The keyboardist adds little runs that are not mirrored by the rhythm guitarist. So with that here are the chords backing the guitar solo: Em7b5 - x7878x; A7 xx768x; Dm - x57765; Dm7 - x57565; Bm7b5 - 7x776x; E7 - x7675x; Am ; G6 ; Fmaj7 - x8(10)9(10)8; Em7#5 - xxx788; Dm7 ; B7b9 - xx7878; B7 xx7877; Em7 (7th fret); D (5th fret), Cmaj7 x35453; Em7 (7th fret); D/E x7777x; Fadd9 - xx5435; G - xx5433; Am (5th fret); G6 (3rd fret). The only other chords are the outro chords which go like this: Fmaj7 x8(10)9(10)8; Em7 - x79787; Dm7 -x57565; Cmaj7 - x35453. I hope this clarifies things. This song is a challenge, and the chords are a challenge. Listen hard for how the chords are played. Good luck!
@gabrielseguin28437 жыл бұрын
My friend, you are a god, thank you so much :D, I learned the solo but all I needed was the chords and nobody has a good cover or lesson online. Thank you!
