Wow...this was so helpful. These techniques translate immediately to ALL my other plugins. They all sound better now. I got to admit though...I bought my first Ample Guitar and I'm in love with it. I've tried quite a few but this one...yes, it works so perfectly for me as a native keyboard player. This inspired me to buy a real guitar. Thanks so much for making this video.

The song at 03:58 is a song I actually practice on my guitar. I am not a really good guitarist but after a lot of years, I picked up my guitar and want to learn the song you played. It workes and I detected the tabs of the first 8 Bars (when it is a 4/4 rhythm, not a 2/4). I found out all tabs and details. Now I will carry on till the end, because I love this song so much. Thank you for giving me inspiration. Wish you all the best. Greetz from Germany ;-) PS: at Ample-Sound, I bought AGT2 yesterday because I saw this video! ;-)

Hi...wow you are a master. I am a guitarist and I must say the way you do the finger picking it sounds almost better than how I do it on the guitar. I don't think anyone can do it better. 5 out of 5 rating for the finger pick. You inspired me to practice a bit more on Ample Guitar.

Beautiful demo on the plugin, and how to play like a guitarist! Thanks for sharing! But I suggest everyone try to use quantize as little as possible, and either re-perform the segment with more focused timing, or try to correct only the most offensive individual notes in the piano-roll, because quantizing everything is the best way for your music to sound sterile and robotic (which can be fun too, but probably not what you're wanting with an acoustic guitar track). :)

Thanks for the excellent video. Nice coordination on the chord change/strum key work; that takes some practice! I just bought AmpleSound AGT (Taylor) and was VERY disappointed to find that you can't play your own chord voicings and work the strum keys with your other hand (as you do here). I have Real Guitar and Orange Tree and they both let me pick my own voicings and play the chords in real time. Ample makes you choose from their list of chords, which is woefully incomplete. No jazz stuff available - half dim., +11s, altered, 13th variations, tone clusters. These instruments have great tone, but I can only use them when their chord library fits what I'm working on.

Fun fact: Phil Collins did his 5th album Both Sides all by himself without the help of any of his musicians. Apart from singing, he knew how to play drums & keyboards. Though you can hear some guitars in some songs, the guitars were computer generated sounds played on a keyboard. This video reminds me of that.
