Finally some Poland. I was beginning to think you hated pre-Friedman Megadeth. I hope you do other songs from Peace Sells.

Walamonga 1313 Poland is the best and my favorite Megadeth guitarist. His leads are incredible, nobody has his bluesy jazzy style in a thrash band.

The part of this song is one of the best thing I've ever heard, especially after the break. Thank for sharing this, I wasn't thinking I could manage this song, but after years of practice I can start to play it with reduce tempo.

Hey Chris have you thought about doing any of the solos from old school Dio era Sabbath like Heaven and Hell or Mob Rules? Something along those lines would be really cool. Some of Tony Iommys best stuff in my opinion.

nice ! but i don't think the legato part of chris's solo are 16 notes, this is faster but i can't find which subdivision it is

Sometimes it's too hard to follow even with the help of the video, especially when its slowed down I lose track on where I'm at exactly when learning these solos. And sometimes something sounds good when its played all fast together but when it's broken down and slowed some parts sound weird until it gets sped up. I wish I could naturally play fast with my right hand (I'm a lefty) with the precision and smoothness as you....I can do the typical blues scale like KISS solos pretty smooth and recently learned the Minor harmonic scale (which is my favorite) but I can only go across the fretboard and I dont know how to continue the scale by going higher up the fretboard to make it longer. I just go from the low E to high E and that's as far as I can play them. I just cant get the speed and precision down

How hard is this solo on a scale of 1-10 And 10 being insanely hard
@MrDoteu8 жыл бұрын
I'd say, as an intermediate-level player, that Dave's part is a 6/10, mainly because of the speed and accuracy needed. I don't know about Chris's part though, haven't tried it
@Walamonga13136 жыл бұрын
This is Dave's easiest solo on this song, it's about a 4-5. Chris's solo is a bit wrong on this though, but doing it like he does (and getting all notes as cleanly) is easily a 7/10.

Serious question. Why do band record ¼ step down? Are they trying to make the song unique? Seem more interesting? Was it slowed down in production? Always baffled me

I think to mess with people trying to learn it... dicks!
@chriszoupa78989 жыл бұрын
Pantera do it too! So annoying
@ContemptuousCornbread9 жыл бұрын
Chris Zoupa I heard somewhere that it happens because bands are unhappy with the speed of the recording, so they speed the record up or down afterwards. This then affects the tuning. Also, I think Dime did it because he wanted a sour tone from his guitar.
@ESPSJ9 жыл бұрын
Tony Owen Isn't it because they're tuning to the singer? I don't know if that was Pantera's reason but I think Mustaine can't hit some notes that he wanted so they down tune everything.
@TonyOwenUK9 жыл бұрын
ESPSJ then I would expect them to go ½ step or more. I think ImageRaiter is right about the recording speed being changed. Otherwise they're just assholes for ever tuning ¼ down step 😀
