FFX is my favorite final fantasy so it's great to see more of the cast get their own builds. Very well done and I may just use a lulu build at some point. I mean sorcerers are my go to so it makes it even easier lol. Thanks for another awesome build. Looking forward to the last characters from the main party to get made then it's another team complete

Alright I’ll say it, FFX, had one of the best battle systems, it actually made every character relevant, until you got into the end game and then just power grid up op characters. However at its base and for what it’s worth it did well and made every character feel important, unlike other games in the series of picking the best team set up and then go

It really helped that you could switch out party members who could immediately act mid-battle. My base party was Tidus, Wakka, and Rikku, because they were the fastest, and I could optimize the group for a given encounter on the fly.

It’s one of those games that people crap on along with 8, cause while one half is arguably bad another is good and those who enjoy it can overlook it. Wakka not at least having 1 or 2 levels in warlock to exemplify his absolute fanatacism and give him a generally better free ranged attack surprised me a little, especially when you made his charisma so high. I also must applaud the commitment you made to making another thrown weapon build despite this game really not being kind to those, and for not allowing you to get anywhere near the range he does in the game. (Eldritch blast with action surge at higher levels is a great way to reflavour Attack Reels.) Anyway you flavoured healing word as a potion in the Rikku video, and Wakka straight up uses one in a cutscene during the game (only character to do so I think) so that fits perfectly.

The bit about thrown weapons at around 7:10 isn't accurate. A thrown weapon can either be a melee weapon that can be used for ranged attacks (for example javelin), or it can be a ranged weapon that its default method of use is being thrown (for example dart). The latter can be used with Sharpshooter, so it all depends on how your DM defines your balls (sorry, couldn't help myself).

Hey Tulok, thank you for all of the double builds this month and all of the builds you made this year, I can't imagine all of the work that went into this. That said... Weekly Build Request: Seeing some more Final Fantasy builds surprisingly made me want to see even more Final Fantasy builds (go figure). And I would really like to see Cecil and Kane from FF4, Bartz from FF5, Terra and Kefka from FF6, Vivi and Zidane from FF9, and Jecht from FF10. So basically all of my remaining mains from Dissidia that you haven't already made. Please and thank you :).

I saw a build for Kefka that made him a fallen aasimar and I'm not sure how to feel about that. It would fit his final form (and how he's apparently able to take that form at any time in Dissidia), but his official backstory is that he's all too human. I guess "I started as a human but absorbed the source of all magic and now I'm even freakier than before" isn't really a species.

I've a recommendation: If you've heard of Dragon Age, you might have heard of a man named Loghain Mac Tir. If it's possible, I would love to hear what you would recommend to build for this character to be put into a dnd campaign.

Loghain would be almost definitely be a battlemaster fighter since he was cannonicaly considered one of the most experienced and skilled warriors of Thedas, maybe a level of oathbreaker paladin for flavor after Cailans death

I do like the arc that he went from this lawful good champion fighter/oath of the crown paladin to a jaded curt battlemaster as the years of Ferelden's war against Orlais went on and then Cailan not only was about to set aside his daughter but also failed to live up to Maric

@@kedarraman6690 I like this actually. And this is one of the reasons why I find Loghain as an understandable character. His loyalty was to Ferelden, and believed that Cailan was not even half the man Loghain saw in Maric. While his actions are seen as treacherous, but he knew that Cailan's plan wasn't sound enough to even end the Blight before it would continue spreading. I wanted to make a character in my group's dnd campaign that had the similarities to Loghain in some respect.

Character challenge, Rand Al'Thor. I'd probably go 11-13ish levels into Gold Dragon Sorcerer. Maybe 3 levels Kensei Monk for martial arts and starting blademaster status? He could go Bard, Ranger, Fighter, and/or even Hexblade Warlock for the rest. Even Druid and Paladin are sort of on the table. But that is just what I'd start with *shrugs*

I get that it's funny giving everyone True Strike, but Wakka seriously needs Mage Hand to make sure his ball always comes back to him. For Lulu, if you just take mage armor as a sorcerer and pick up Investment of the Chain Master it opens up some options with her doll. Make the doll a reskinned Quasit and it will have a fear inducing roar that uses your casting DC instead of the terrible DC in the Quasit stat block.

Ok, but I think it's funnier if Wakka has to run around picking up a bunch of balls after every fight... or even better, every other round in combat. The enemy just watches him run up grab the ball he just beaned them with, and excuses himself to go stand back in line again.

Query- video said thrown weapk s don't get ranged weapon buffs, but darts do as they are actually ranged weapons correct? So if a blitzball was a reskinned dart, you'd be able to get some cool attack based feats etc. Also this is odd - I just started replaying FFX recently and have just built a character loosely inspired by a Tidas/Wakka hybrid....literally nothing like this build tho 😅

My only problem with this vid: Wakka is actually supposed to be Pretty Tanky. Case and point: In every Clip Tulok showed with Wakka in it he had more HP than anyone else in the party... I think the closest any of the other characters come to his HP is Khimari at like 40 Less than him, which still means that Wakka is Tankier.
