I just want to ask what is the reason behind the fingering? Why not the whole thing in 1st position ? Thank you

Hi @Yassineel, the fingering notation is there to help you read the notes easier, I hope you agree. This is an Intermediate piece, therefor some notes the 1st position can not reach and requires to shift to the higher position, if you're more comfortable in playing in 1st position, please feel free to play them in an octave lower or check out other beginner tutorials: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fX-Xe35tZsp0gsk. There's no harm in trying! To play this piece beautifully, we recommend mastering slurs, legato, and staccato bow strokes. Good luck!
