You have a great feel for this song and teach it in a way that is straight to the point and not annoying (like most lessons are).

I'm really new to guitar. Had my first lesson in January. I followed your video to learn landslide. You have a wonderful ability to teach difficult material by breaking it down into manageable pieces. Thanks to you I am progressing swiftly on this new instrument! Really appreciate your videos and sheet music!

Excellent lesson from Shane. I received the Tab without any hassle or solicitation so don't worry about that KZbinrs. Here's to more great videos...

thank you mate for the awesome lesson. Sometimes as a beginner its easy to get wrapped up in tabs and practicing chords, songs and strumming patterns that are way above my skill level. You make an easy, clear and concise lesson that lets me master a song quite easily. I already have "A Horse With No Name" on lock thanks to your tutorial. hopefully this song will be next

Hi Shane. The end of the song always had me miffed. Do you know the chords for the very end?
@Sixpoint7five Жыл бұрын
The end of the song though? Is the chord change progression the same when Downey sings "Oh that's what tomorrow brings"??
@marcabrams25596 жыл бұрын
Hi Shane great lesson. This is my wife's favorite song so I'm glad I stumbled upon this channel! Quick question: when you play it off at the end at normal speed, it seems like you are filling in more than what you taught here--is that just my imagination? Or are you strumming up and down quickly instead of uu/dd? Especially notice it on the C strum. Thanks!
@GuitarAtWork6 жыл бұрын
Hi Marc - thank you for that! It is a great song indeed - Glad to have you with us! If there are some extra strums toward the end that aren't in the basic pattern it's OK - I'm just filling the holes a bit with some whispery strums. Cheers! Shane

Ha ha ok--glad I am not losing my mind. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and your tab/chord sheets. This is a great resource. And that song goes to prove that you don't need tons of tough chords to make a great song. It's all in how you play the chords you got. Thanks again!

Hi.. Great lesson.. Could we substitute C9 for regular C?
@GuitarAtWork4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mark - very glad you enjoyed it. You could use Cadd9 instead of the C if you like - they don't do that on the recording. You might find it sounds a bit too rich for this song. I know it's an easier chord to get to physically from a G but I'd stick with a plain old C chord. Best to you! Shane

Trying to learn this as my very first guitar song. And you kinda blasted thru the chorus part at the end super fast. Watched like 8 or 10 times trying to get the count with the up's and downs...
