There was a period of time in the early 70s when Cat Stevens was my absolute favorite musician. He was and is an inspiring creative force. Now in my 60s, I play guitar... this lesson is such a joy to find, can't wait to go play and sing Wild World.
@juliomaya6721 Жыл бұрын
The way you teach is amazing. I can now play all those songs I’ve always wanted to play thanks to your instructions. Granted one must be an intermediate at least but I can see beginners get better so much quicker under your tutelage. Thank you, you’ve made my guitar sound so much cleaner and made me a better guitarist today and I’ve been playing for 58 years.

I just wonder if you read these messages. Really appreciate the work you did and continue to do. Your channel is absolutely insanely informative with leaks, riffs, and strumming patterns. The name of your channel " Shut Up and Practice" is incredibly fitting. Have been watching from the beginning and practicing along. Don't have any questions or reasons for saying this....lol I just want to express my admiration for your job and bow for the lessons without funnels to sale something.

Good heavens is there anything you can't play. You're an incredible player and tutor.

shut up and play helps me polish up songs and add them to my play list as notes to share at future open mic sessions that I might attend, so he is mr wonderful in my opinion because of the excellent teaching skills here, ill shut up and play now.
@richardwillard4 жыл бұрын
I found that the f down scale was simple with the f pattern bottom string open alternating lifting off and on, also the part with 2 guitars that he explained was doable with one guitar in the full c pattern, but he is a genius letting you figure that out for yourself so if you only have the one guitar you can still make this great sound he teach!.....do the g turnaround in with the first finger on the top string and do the lick with little finger worked great for me, thanks!

Y'know, my man, you always PICK the GREATEST SONGS, to give lessons for, and that's just ONE reason- the MAIN reason, is the QUALITY of your lessons, and the awesomeness of you're PLAYING, that is usually an EXACT copy of the record... THAT'S the MAIN reason- but ANOTHER reason, ASIDE from your awesome PLAYING, is (I know, I HAVE to stop using the word "awesome", haha ) the SONGS that you PICK, are just so freaking GREAT- and THAT'S WHY you're the most Awesome teacher on the internet.... ( I should have capitalized that LAST "awesome"..haha..)

You do everything spot on my friend, wearing the black and the lighting on your guitar makes it so clear. No doubt the top training I have seen on KZbin. Jerry's Guitar Bar is good too but he doesn't play the song through at tempo like you do. You thought this out very well, excellent instruction.

Thanks Samay. I make my tutorials available to everyone for free because I don't like excluding those who may be facing financial hardship. Music should be available to all. Thing is, nothing is really free right? I put a huge amount of time and effort into making these videos, so please only consider them as "free" if you just don't have the money... but if you can afford it and you're getting something out of my lessons I ask that you make a financial contribution. Here's a link to my website donation page: www.shutupandplay.ca/donate.html Cheers, Andy
