I recently made a commitment to myself to relearn a few songs and learn the correct way to play them. I knew exactly where to go. Your attention to detail and your ability to break a song down into minutiae, then present that information in a comprehendible manner makes you the best guitar instructor on KZbin. Thank you so much for your massive effort in producing these videos, and your equally massive generosity in posting them on KZbin! You literally rock in so many ways!

This was the first song I learned on guitar when I was 18 years old, by just listening to the record. I'm now 61, and have just realised I've been playing it wrong for 43 years. I love your methodical tuition and your teaching style. Thank you 🙂

Your lessons catch virtually every nuance of the original playing/recordings I've been obsessing on for years, detail you just rarely hear played accurately (?) much less taught ! ... For those of us who obsess over these musical things...its awesome to find another. You have a stupid good ear, and your attn. to detail is on point. You hear and reproduce every thing I've heard since i was a kid. (for many of these songs ). All those years as a hack noodler, dreaming of being able to SEE what they were doing here, and there,....how WAS that bit actually played, ? I keep finding new songs to learn. and many of them aren't THAT difficult once you see how it can be done with these lessons. .... i'm still a self taught hack, pretending I can play for 35 years or more, I know enough to be able to learn and play many of these songs with a bit of focused work and determination,... Learning new songs is work but alot of fun. Playing them "correctly" ,...like you hear them in your head just makes me super fukin' happy. Surprising yr friends or family with a nice rendition of a great song, played well.... Priceless. Thanks again.

This tutorial is dead on. Others for this tune have the strumming patterns wrong and it doesn't sound quite right. It rattled around in my head every time I played it. It was maddening for sure. Then I found this one and boom. It is definitely a feel song for sure.

I may of pre judged this lesson as I am a beginner and felt this a little to in depth...but after reading some comments left and subscribing to your channel and watching a few other lessons I may have been a little hasty. I can play this intro and song, actually I vowed not to stop learning to play the guitar until I could and thankfully I’m still playing today, learning and growing and loving the guitar... so I might not be quite ready just yet and their are lots of beginner lessons out there, but I will definitely be calling in on your tutorials and hopefully improving daily..... so thank you another great guitarist to follow and learn from, even though I’m not quite there yet, but I still play a pretty mean Wish U were here.... keeps my daughter entertained 👍👏👏

hi just found this-had already learned this thru many other lessons, but this was by far the most accurate, especially the strumming patterns, which are tricky at first, but sound awesome once learned-this is one of my fav all time songs by my fav guitarist and band and i know what it should sound like, and ive learned it wrong-so now i am unlearning and learning this way! thank you you are awesome and love your lessons, but i am a beginner so sometimes your lessons are too hard for me , but this one i am determined to learn! thank u more pf please

I just discovered a couple of your videos, and I wanted to pay you a complement on them. I, like you, would like the song I’m learning to sound close to the actual song as it was recorded. I am a new player, so Wish You Were Here might have to wait, but your lesson of Over the Hills I am very happy with! I’m trying to learn this song, and your version is very good. I would rather take the slightly more difficult “road” if it gets me closer to where I want to go. Thanks for posting, and I will definitely check out more of your videos!

None of the lessons I can find on KZbin are quite getting it right, and you are such a stickler for getting it right.
