He gets bigger and BIGGER over time. But even in his small size he is strong enough to lift and throw enemies 3x larger than him and even rip trees up from the ground to use as a club.

3 Words: Deck of Illusions. ----- A deck of 34 cards, where one card can be thrown out. When a card is thrown, an illusionary monster (depending in the image if the card) is summoned. It can do no harm, and will not actually listen or obey you, but your Eldritch Blast fixed that. It will remain there until the card is moved. If your DM is merciful, you might be able to have some fun with this. This is mostly a flavor idea, though.

It just that in manga it's called "Magic and wizard" with a totally different gameplay. Kazuki Takahashi is a very creative man. He also made "Monster world" which is totally different from D&D with a different class system, the D100 system instead of D20(And with the flashy Top spin d10 dices which is how I get to know D&D in the first place) and "D.D.D" (an acronym of "Dragon Dice and Dangers") Which, despite the name, is a board game with a very unique gameplay and I'm sad that's the toy version couldn't doing it justice and fall short. All these are not intended to copy them though, It's actually opposite. He want to tell a story about those game without copy them into his manga, so he made all new rule with the same reference so his audience know what he's talking about(WotC games are like most popular western game company in JP back then)

It's crazy that, in canon, one of the powers of the Millennium Puzzle is to fulfill one single wish of the person who had solved it and heighten its owner's chance of success in a game. Definitely fits the definition of manipulating fate, especially since Yugi's wish was likely something along the lines of "defeat the bad guys", both powers making him particularly "adept" at getting the right cards at the right moment at "random" when taking down the ne'er do wells.

This is a great purity route. However, I would have gone for 6th level warlock, 14th level lore bard. Bard allows for expertise in insight and persuasion as well as 6 spells from literally any list. You can conjure animals to summon gazelle, king of mythical beasts and some other goodies, conjure woodland beings to multiply kuriboh in Sprite form, conjure celestial if you want the aid of a unicorn's horn or a coutl (closest thing it gets to a dragon), animate dead if you remember zombie structure decks. You even have wriggle room to fit in the summoning spells above or a monster reborn, spellbinding circle, or sworda of revealing light, or some other card you want that isn't 7th level or higher. Even though you only have one 7th-level spell slot, you have expertise in persuasion, so glibness, still works. The war caster route is still relatively effective, though you only get 4 ability score improvements rather than 5, so be careful with your investments. Two in Charisma, two in constituion, one in war caster? You have bardic expertise, so it's fine.

Huh. I put together my own Yugi build a few months back and made him a Theurgy Wizard, but this seems way better. Stray thoughts: • Figured a halfling would be more fitting for Yugi, since they're short, brave, and lucky. • If you want to play season 0 Yugi, just swap out Foresight for Weird. • If you want to play Yusei, take Land Vehicles proficiency, make sure you play something that can cast Illusory Dragon, and maybe dip Artificer for some mechanical buddies. • If you want to play sweetest cinnamon roll Yuya, play something similar to Yugi, but invest in Performance.

​@@scumbad7953 Who said anything about optimizing? Storing a summon spell is almost the essence of the character. How does that remove any flavor or theme? Acknowledging that the build has weaknesses and using magic items to mitigate some of those is what you should do if you want the character to have a long and exciting run. Personally, I've always thought that dying in-game tends to be a buzzkill. Spending 10 rounds to summon a minion seems like a good way to get wailed on if your party can't hold the line against a mob.

Yugi does have something to block attacks, and you'll be summoning a lot of them until lvl 5. A poor little familiar called Little Kuribo. Your familiar? Likely Kuribo. That Phantasmal force protecting Kuribo? More Kuribo. And Mirror Image? Mirror Force--no I'm kidding, it's even more Kuribo. Good thing there's no trap card for PETA, because Yugi would be dropping out real fast. But there could be in D&D, so watch out. And if your Infernal Calling requires a sacrifice? Yep... Kuribos are the best for it too! Personally, I'd have done a Lightfoot Halfling, Yugi's small. He gets Luck from this still, and a +1 to Charisma... Plus, it lets him hide behind everything else including his summons. Which means your opponents will have to go through all those cards you have in defense mode to get to you! Yugi stands tall when the Pharaoh steps up to game... but the Pharaoh is still literally hiding behind that giant angry skeleton man he summoned up!

It's name is Summoned Skull, And it's a Dark Attribute, Fiend Type, Level 6 monster with 2500 ATK, thank you very much. Also, if the anime and scripted duels in tournammets are to be belivedd(let's just ignore the text in the actual card), with the multiply spell card you can get more Kuribos on the filed than the number of all Card zones in both fields combined, so i doubt the Kuribo's are anywhere nearby being considered an endangered species.

One of my favorite things to do as a moon druid is to summon an earth elemental then turn into one myself to pummel whatever is in my path and with a +5 constitution advantage and proficiency in constitution saving throws I will almost always succeed on concentration checks to keep my elemental under control as I we proceed to turn the opposition into soil also one thing people often don't do with earth elementals is to attack from bellow as you can just raise your hands above the ground to smack someone in the face then return back to the earth without invoking opportunity attacks because your underground

While Yugi/Atem's most iconic monster is certainly Dark Magician, it's far from the only iconic monster he has. Other, perhaps more relevant inspiration for what to summon includes Gaia the Fierce Knight/Dragon Champion, Summoned Skull, Giant Soldier of Stone, and of course, Kuriboh. That's before getting into the 6 or 7 different archetypes that their deck(s) were ultimately split into in the physical card game, which would include Magician Girls, Gadgets, Black Luster Soldiers, the "Silent" monsters, and probably a couple others I'm forgetting.

For everyone who see this video, it’s better to use *Cartomancer Feat* instead of Lucky. Cartomancer allows you to use a Deck of Cards as your Arcane Focus (instead of a Tome/Spellbook). Not sure, but Wizard (Order of Scribes) might also works with it. *Allowing you to make Magic Cards….* Also, Pact of the Talisman instead of Chain. Because Yugi had a *Talisman.*

I like this a lot, but 3 levels of knowledge cleric could've helped with the becoming Yami part. Your channel divinity grants you divine knowledge that gives you Prof in a tool kit, or with the dm's help, a gambling kit. Also healing for summoners is nice! Plus if you wanted to dip into cleric more, spirit guardian is super thematic, and doesn't require concentration I believe, so more summons. Also, any reason you didn't take some conjurer levels? I know it's mostly only that higher level ability that helps summoned creatures, so maybe you just didn't wanna invest that heavy. Either way, fantastic build!

I remember watching the show... Yu Gi Oh! Another part of my childhood.... I wonder if you do literature characters, because if you do, got a fun one. James Eckert of Gordon R. Dickson's "The Dragon Knight" series - Late 20th Century Medieval History teacher who ends up in an alternative Medieval England that has dragons, talking wolves, magic, and dark forces, initially stuck in the body of a dragon, all while trying to save his missing girlfriend. Along the way, he makes some friends - an exceptional knight, a Robin Hood - like archer, a gruff talking wolf, and the world's greatest Magician, among others. After saving his beloved, he decides to stay, gets his human form, and then things get interesting, especially when six months later, he starts turning into a dragon and must learn how to cast spells. Oh, and he gets called upon to rescue England from danger. Goals: Must be able to cast spells while wearing heavy armor (so must start off as a Fighter, or, better yet, a Paladin). Must be able to turn into a dragon - he's called the Dragon Knight, not "Foreign Knight From Another World". Spells must be built around Supporting allies or Disabling foes - the magic he utilizes can't directly harm another. Must cast spells even when holding weapon and shield. (Without verbally speaking would be useful.) Must be able to convince different groups to work together - he's got a good track record there. Annoyingly, his skill with weapons isn't that great (but he's good enough to use a longsword and shield in a fight), relying on his armor, and friends, for protection. Must Seem to be a Noble (Barron) and a Knight at all times - although allowances are made due to his need to deal with Magicians and Dragons, whose communities he's part of. Must be good at turning potential enemies into friends. Must be decently smart, athletic and acrobatic and able to outwit his foes at every turn.

The genie’s vessel can only be connected to a willing creature and most of the high level summons aren’t willing. Aside from that this works surprisingly well.

I think they're considered willing unless the spells explicitly state otherwise, unless you've let them off the tether. And even then it's questionable for some.

I know some other people are already saying it but yeah you’re spot on with Mirror Image. Yugi has the Magical Hats trap card which basically reduces the likelihood that a single attack will be successful Also Elemental Resistance is just owning card sleeves lmao

She's actually really easy to build: She's a Variant Human, taking Magic Initiate to snag Absorb Elements from the Druid class. Speaking of class, she's mostly Sun-Soul Monk, with a smidge of Barbarian, no more than 1 level. Maybe 2 if the game runs long enough. 1 level of Fighter adds the Dueling fighting style, making your punches hit a lot harder, but it's not strictly necessary. If magic items exist in the game you're playing, get some Gauntlets of Ogre Power. They're Uncommon magic items, thus fairly easy to get. And they bump your Strength to 19, which helps Barbarian Rage apply to punches. Try and get a Belt of Giant Strength, as it'll only make the build work better. Playing this now in Tyranny of Dragons. Whole party was downed by a Blue Dragon, except for me, who just kept punching the damn thing into submission. Evasion is a lifesaver, and Rage helps you really Yang in there. (Lol)

A few things, one is thank you sooo much for building this build as I am a huge yugioh fan and I was trying for so long to come up with a good build (would have used sorcerer for spells and traps but thats me) Second is if you are gonna watch rwby Id recommend watching the first 4 seasons, as season 5 is iffy with fans and the rest has a lot of controfersy between its writing and characters so yeah

You should do an update to this one now that Tasha's is out and includes Summon spells. Wizlock makes a much more versatile summoner allowing Yugi to summon some of his other well known monsters, with some of the higher level spells even being able to serve as his God Cards.

Unfortunately the tether was kind of game-breaking. I wouldn't mind getting an eldritch invocation that gives you the tether but shorter and with only your familiar though. Sure the familiar's HP would always suck, but it's a lot less broken.
