I have found this stuff works great with a DA polisher and a firm pad on my diamond plate aluminum tool box. Works great by hand as well, also use it on my aluminum wheels occasionally for cleaning and it also works great for that as well.

Yup, I do the same thing. Once a year I hit my 88 gallon fuel tool box with a DA polisher. Get asked all the time about the shine. Looks like a mirror for sure. No more polish compound bars.

You don't wipe off the de-ox? Does it just soak into the metal or evaporate?

The plate looked pretty good to start with. Mine is really dull and ingrained. I tried to clean it once and it was really hard work.

Do I need to put a coat of protective wax over top of your product in order to keep that shine longer?

The worst thing you can do is put wax of any kind on aluminium, it will turn dull, cloudy and even a tinge of yellow

Steve R I've used purple metal polish on my aluminum wheels on my semi truck with a mini foam polishing ball from mother's that attaches to my cordless drill this product is very easy to use just be sure to pick you up a bundle of Terry cloth towels to wipe away the residue

massive thanks for this video , sadly we cant by this stuff in the uk so I bought some off ebay having seen your video , I tried it this evening and it works amazingly well . I was only going to try a small section of the chequer plate on my land rover but it came up so clean I had to do every bit of chequer plate on the land rover , even a neighbour came out and commented how good it looked . Would you mind if I did a video of this stuff to put on the uk land rover forums as most land rover drivers do have chequer plate on their land rovers and I am sure they would appreciate this stuff

This product is for really light oxidation. Look at the front of the box. It's new. They put something on it to cause a light oxidation on the top side. Then use the product to remove it. It's designed to deceive you and sell the product. If it seems to good to be true ...

Then someone clear-coated it at one point in its life. You'll have to find a way to remove all that clear coat before you polish it.

I thought the product worked great. I used a buffing wheel for the final polish, but other than that just like the video, it removed almost all of the water spots & it was shiny again.

Depending on the amount of oxidation and how bad the condition of the surface, yes you may need a buffer and a heavy polish or even rouge bars. The box in the demo hadn't been polished in 4 years. It had a high polish shine when it was new. The owner of it just washed it when he washed the truck.
